Alright, Ty-Vaun thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear how you think where to draw the line in terms of asking friends and family to support your business – what’s okay and what’s over the line?

People give up early in business and damage relationships because they are too focused on getting support from people they already know like friends and family because that is the easy part . I pride my business by the phrase ” Everyone is NOT going to support your business, good thing you don’t need everyone ” . You have to understand that the people you have relationships with you already know what value they can bring to your business so you have to take a chance at the unknow which is networking and meeting new people .

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I am a hard worker and feel I can be the best at whatever I do with the time a preparation. I’ve worked since the age of 16 and was promoted into management at the young age of 20, I’ve been in business management for about ten years so I know how to be a GREAT employee which has taught me how to be a GREAT business owner & run a business. I have 2 beautiful children 7&8 which motivate me to be the best I can be every day and make the best of my life so theirs can be even better. Business wise I am most proud of believing in myself and pushing through despite the obstacles and setbacks and also how far the brand has grown in just ONE YEAR .

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

Being a business owner will have you pivoting daily between your career and trying to balance work and life but with no income there is no way to support a business so you have to prioritize your life . If I had to be honest there is no work life balance you have make time for what’s important and your business goals must always be included . I model my business around a few things, there’s things that you HAVE TO do , things you SHOULD DO , and things you would LIKE TO do, prioritize by importance and check off task as you go throughout the week .

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

In business a lot of people are afraid to ask for help and sometimes genuinely asking for help, guidance, or assistance with a practical area is the best way to get help with social media / influencer marketing . Not being afraid to take the humble yet bold approach and follow their page first and reaching out directly relating to business . Also it’s very important to stay consistent in whatever field you’re in and to engage with your audience by replying to comments , answering questions, and simply engaging your followers post so they know that you support their content as well .
