Alright, Ty thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. One of the things we most admire about small businesses is their ability to diverge from the corporate/industry standard. Is there something that you or your brand do that differs from the industry standard? We’d love to hear about it as well as any stories you might have that illustrate how or why this difference matters.
Commercial Real Estate has a history of being a “tough love” industry, especially for new recruits. While I completely agree that there should be a level of someone coming in to sink or swim, I thoroughly believe in training new hires so that they are put in the best position to win.
Our team takes pride in pairing our new hires with brokers who help them to understand the industry, while also having a library of over 100 hours of training for anyone new who joins our team.
This is unheard of in the commercial real estate business.

Ty, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I started in commercial real estate after entering corporate America once I graduated college commercial real estate has always been interesting to me because I had a deep appreciation for buildings and skyscrapers I saw as I drove through Philadelphia every day.
Our team is a technology-focused commercial real estate firm built off of young people who are fearless with their prospecting and always provide value to our clients by being the most responsive and educated professionals that we can be.
Our team is partnered with a residential real estate team. It’s been around for close to 40 years with over $5 billion worth of residential real estate sales. The residential side of our business is known as the gold standard for residential real estate in and around Philadelphia, and we carry that culture and brand to the commercial side of the business.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
My primary focus in commercial real estate is representing office tenants on their commercial real estate leases.
During 2020 when the world shut down, no tenants wanted to sign new leases. Every group that had any interest in expanding their current footprint after commercial lease standpoint or relocation or an expense or anything close to that completely shut down it wasn’t happening…
For me this illustrates my resilience because I was going through maybe the toughest time to be an office tenant rep broker instead of just mailing it in and saying “I’m done. This is not the business for me,” I went a different route.
I decided to bring value through working through different tenant’s leases with them understanding what they’re paying points were understanding who was still coming to the office, how many square feet they needed, and coming up with a solution for the future rather than just throwing my hands in the air and telling clients I couldn’t help them at that point.

We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.
I’m at my two business partners, Mike McCann and Jim Onesti actually at the same time I was working at a different commercial real estate firm. I felt like I wasn’t really being coached, especially through the time period.
That we were going through with Covid and and everything shutting down, I met them at their office. I was introduced by another residential agent who knew them and said that would be a good fit, and it was an instant fit.
We sat down and we chopped it up about the industry, their team was important to them their culture how they built their business and really decided there and then that we should work together and it’s been a dream of a partnership ever since and our team is growing based on the culture and the building block that they’ve had in place for four decades.
