One of the biggest trends I’m seeing in the product design industry is the growing use of motion design and data visualization to make digital experiences more engaging and intuitive. It’s not just about presenting data anymore—it’s about making it interactive, dynamic, and easy to understand, even for non-technical users.
I explored this trend in a project I worked on for a home value estimate tool. The tool relied on complex data to provide users with accurate property valuations, but the challenge was making the experience feel approachable and engaging. To solve this, I incorporated animated line graphs that visualized trends over time and made the data feel alive. These animations didn’t just add a layer of visual appeal—they helped guide users through the information, emphasizing key insights in a way that felt intuitive and user-friendly.
This trend excites me because it transforms how users interact with information, making it more digestible and visually appealing. However, the challenge is knowing where to draw the line—too much motion can feel distracting or gimmicky. In this project, I carefully balanced the animations to ensure they enhanced the experience without compromising clarity or performance.
I believe motion design is more than just a visual enhancement—it’s a tool that can simplify complex data, tell a story, and create memorable interactions. For me, this trend represents an opportunity to blend creativity with problem-solving, which is at the heart of what I love about being a Product Designer. It’s incredibly rewarding to see how small, thoughtful details like these can make a big impact on how users experience a product.
Twinkle, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Design, for me, is about creating experiences that resonate, connect, and make people’s lives better in ways they didn’t even realize they needed. My journey into product design was fueled by this belief—that great design is not just about how something looks but how it feels, functions, and solves real problems. Growing up, I was always drawn to creativity and storytelling, but it wasn’t until I started exploring the intersection of design and technology that I realized I could turn these passions into a career.
One of the highlights of my journey as a Product Designer has been redesigning Freedom Mortgage’s employee intranet portal—a critical tool for internal collaboration and communication. The project began with a deep dive into the discovery phase. I conducted stakeholder workshops, mapped out the current challenges, and uncovered what employees truly needed from the platform. From there, I moved into user research, interviews, and competitive analysis to better understand how we could address those needs and go beyond simply “fixing” the portal.
This led to developing personas and user flows to capture the varied requirements of our employees. I built the information architecture from the ground up to simplify navigation and make resources easily accessible. What followed was a journey through wireframes, low-fidelity prototypes, and high-fidelity designs, with constant iteration based on usability testing and feedback interviews. Prototyping was especially rewarding because it allowed us to validate the designs with real users, ensuring every element worked the way they expected—or better.
The final design wasn’t just a tool; it was a transformation. Employees could navigate the portal with ease, resources were organized in an intuitive way, and collaboration became seamless. Now, I’m working on phase 2, enhancing features like personalized dashboards and collaboration tools to make the experience even more tailored and impactful.
What I love most about this work is the opportunity to solve problems holistically. I don’t just focus on creating something functional; I aim to design experiences that feel effortless, engaging, and human. I believe what sets me apart is my ability to connect the dots—balancing strategy with creativity and deep empathy for users.
For me, being a Product Designer isn’t just about designing products; it’s about shaping stories, solving challenges, and creating moments that matter. Whether it’s through a reimagined intranet portal or a sleek data visualization tool, my goal is always to leave users with something that feels natural yet remarkable.
Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
If I could give my younger self one piece of advice, it would be this: don’t try to figure it all out alone. Early in my career, I thought I had to solve every challenge myself, but I quickly realized the real magic of growth lies in communities. Platforms like the Figma Community and UX Collective weren’t just places to browse—they became spaces where I learned, shared, and found support.
I still remember the first time I came across a case study from a designer halfway across the world. It was like a lightbulb went off—seeing their approach to solving a challenge I had been stuck on completely changed how I thought about my work. Those moments of connection, those shared insights, were what pushed me forward.
Being part of these communities didn’t just make me a better designer—it made me a better storyteller. I learned how to present my ideas, how to explain the “why” behind my decisions, and how to grow through collaboration.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being a creative is the opportunity to shape experiences that genuinely impact people’s lives. There’s a unique thrill in taking a problem, breaking it down, and building something thoughtful and functional out of it—something that doesn’t just work but feels intuitive and meaningful.
It’s those moments when someone interacts with a design I’ve created and says, “This makes so much sense,” or “This just works”—those are what make all the hard work worth it. I think of design as a form of storytelling, where I get to translate complex challenges into simple, human-centered solutions. That ability to connect with people through my work, to make their day a little easier or more enjoyable, is deeply fulfilling.
And then there’s the joy of the process itself. I love how design allows me to be both analytical and creative. Whether it’s conducting user research, sketching out ideas, or prototyping, there’s a sense of discovery at every step. It’s never boring, and every project brings new lessons and opportunities for growth.
Ultimately, being a creative allows me to leave a small, positive mark on the world, and that’s something I’m grateful for every single day.
