We were lucky to catch up with Tulika Agarwal recently and have shared our conversation below.
Tulika , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?
Tulika’s Furry Buddies says it all! Every pet that comes to our home will leave as a member of our family. Tulika’s Furry Buddies represents the growing community of dogs who have joined our family through petsitting.



As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I was raised with multiple dogs at a time in my life. Taking care of them and playing and training them was what I enjoyed the most. My two boys are crazy about dogs and want as many dogs as we could accommodate. Since we started a summer job for my kids to Petsit for other dog owners, I started loving the dogs coming over to our home and becoming our family members. I used to look forward to having them over. I knew then that this is something I would like to continue doing as I love being around these furry friends.
We also rescued a Chihuahua (Hope) 10 years ago from Helen Woodward Animal shelter. Hope is an integral part of our family now. We can’t imagine our life without her.
I love that the furry friends who’s been dropped off look forward to coming back again and again. We provide a safe and happy place for them. We become their second family home.
We are a loving and caring family who are crazy about dogs. I’m a homemaker who pampers dog all day long and send pictures and updates throughout the day. We provide a big fenced backyard for the dogs to play around.
I always enjoy hearing when clients mention that how their dog’s wag their tail when they hear my name and run to the door to be dropped off at my house.
I want the people to know that I am here to help them with their pet needs. To provide the best pet sitting experience for them so they can be sure to enjoy their vacation while their furry family is safe and loved at our home.



What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I get a lot of referrals from the clients whose dogs I petsit. The reason behind it is that I am available and prompt to respond to their text messages. Also, I am very prompt in sending them pictures and videos to show them how their pet is doing. I believe in the best customer service so I always upfront with them about what works and doesn’t work with me and the pet.



How did you build your audience on social media?
To build an audience on social media you have to post and be regular every day. You must have enough content to post. And I do take that seriously with regular updates and reels on social media.
