Hi Tuesday, thanks for joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Hello Healthy Hair was born out of one of the most challenging and transformative chapters of my life. I am a brain aneurysm and stroke survivor, and while enduring the physical and emotional trials of recovery, I faced an unexpected challenge: my hair began to thin as a side effect of the medications I was taking. For someone who had always taken pride in their hair, this loss felt deeply personal. It wasn’t just about appearance—it was about reclaiming a part of myself that I feared I might never get back.
As I searched for solutions, I struggled to find a product that truly met my needs. I wanted something natural, organic, and nourishing, free of harsh chemicals and synthetic additives. I longed for a product that could restore my hair’s health while being gentle on my healing body. But no matter how hard I looked, I couldn’t find a single product that contained all the ingredients and benefits I was seeking. Frustration soon turned into inspiration, and I realized that if what I needed didn’t exist, I would create it myself.
That’s when the idea for Hello Healthy Hair began to take shape. I poured my heart into researching natural ingredients, studying their properties, and experimenting with formulations that could promote hair growth, strengthen strands, and revitalize the scalp. Each product was crafted with intention and love, blending organic ingredients that worked harmoniously together. Every bottle became a reflection of my journey—resilience, hope, and healing.
What truly validated this endeavor for me was the response from those around me. As I shared the products with friends and family, they experienced transformative results and shared their gratitude. They began telling me that my creations weren’t just products—they were solutions to challenges many others were facing but had no answers for. The success of the hair oil and herbal hair tea, our most popular products, affirmed what I already knew in my soul: this was bigger than me. I wasn’t just creating a product; I was solving a problem and meeting a need in a way no one else had.
Hello Healthy Hair isn’t just a business—it’s a testament to the power of turning pain into purpose. It’s about offering people a unique approach to hair care that is rooted in nature, health, and love. What excites me most about this journey is knowing that every product has the potential to restore confidence, empower individuals, and remind them that even in the face of life’s challenges, there is always a path forward. That’s the heart of Hello Healthy Hair, and it’s what keeps me inspired every single day.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Absolutely. One of the most defining moments of my journey—and a true testament to resilience—was surviving a brain aneurysm and stroke. It was a life-altering experience that tested me physically, emotionally, and spiritually. In an instant, everything I had taken for granted—my health, my independence, my sense of normalcy—was challenged. I had to relearn how to navigate life with a renewed sense of purpose and determination.
During my recovery, I faced a heartbreaking and unexpected challenge: my hair began thinning significantly as a side effect of the medications I was taking. For me, this wasn’t just about hair loss—it felt like another piece of my identity was being stripped away. Every time I looked in the mirror, I was reminded of what I had been through. It was deeply emotional, but I refused to let it define me. Instead, I chose to channel my pain into action.
I began researching natural remedies for hair health and experimenting with ingredients that were known to promote growth and nourish the scalp. I spent countless hours blending oils, brewing herbal teas, and perfecting recipes, often late into the night. What started as a way to help myself slowly turned into something bigger—a passion to help others facing similar challenges. That’s how Hello Healthy Hair was born.
There was a moment during this journey that I will never forget. A close friend tried my hair oil and later called me in tears, saying it had given her hope during her own struggle with hair loss. It was in that moment I realized that what I had created wasn’t just a product—it was a solution, a source of comfort, and a reminder of what resilience can achieve.
My story isn’t just about surviving a brain aneurysm and stroke—it’s about finding purpose in adversity. It’s about taking life’s challenges and turning them into opportunities to grow, inspire, and give back. Through Hello Healthy Hair, I’ve not only reclaimed a part of myself but also created something that helps others reclaim their confidence and strength. That, to me, is the true power of resilience.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
A powerful lesson I had to unlearn was the idea that asking for help is a sign of weakness. Growing up in a culture that often equates strength with independence, I prided myself on being self-reliant and handling challenges on my own. I thought that if I couldn’t figure it out myself, I was somehow failing. However, life has a way of teaching us the lessons we need most, and for me, that realization came during one of the most difficult times of my life.
When I suffered a brain aneurysm and stroke, I was thrust into a situation where independence was no longer an option. Tasks that I had taken for granted—simple things like walking, communicating clearly, or even getting through the day—suddenly required assistance. For someone who had always been fiercely independent, this was a humbling and emotional shift. At first, I resisted. I didn’t want to burden anyone or admit that I couldn’t do it all on my own. But the more I tried to shoulder everything myself, the harder it became to heal—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Eventually, I had to confront my pride and let it go. I allowed myself to lean on my family, friends, and faith. Accepting help didn’t make me weak; it actually made me stronger. It taught me the beauty of community, the power of vulnerability, and the incredible strength that comes from allowing others to walk alongside you during tough times.
This lesson carried over into my entrepreneurial journey with Hello Healthy Hair. When I first started my business, I felt the same instinct to do everything on my own. From creating the formulas to marketing the products to managing every detail, I wanted to prove I could handle it all. But just like in my recovery, I realized that seeking support, collaborating with others, and embracing help wasn’t a sign of failure—it was a strategic move that allowed me to grow.
Unlearning the idea that asking for help equates to weakness has been one of the most liberating lessons of my life. It’s taught me that strength isn’t about going it alone; it’s about knowing when to lean on others and allowing yourself to be supported. Today, I carry that lesson in everything I do, from my personal life to my business. It’s a reminder that resilience isn’t just about enduring—it’s about connecting, growing, and thriving with the help of those around you.
