We recently connected with Tudian Payne and have shared our conversation below.
Tudian , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
The idea for P916fit LLC. Came from my struggles with depression, childhood traumas, poor nutrition choices, and terrible physical health. My mental health was suffering and once I saw the power in my journey, I wanted to help others overcome similar struggles!

Tudian , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
After the birth of my fourth son, I’d come to a place where my depression and anxiety were consuming me. I hadn’t dealt with a lot of my traumas and my mental health was suffering tremendously. I knew I was at a pivotal point, where I could take the route of seeking medication or considering another option. I chose to look at my diet and nutrition as the source that needed to be tackled at that time.
Through this journey, I recognized the gift I was able to provide others who witnessed my transformation. I began to see that what I viewed as a struggle, was a series of events that launched a domino effect around me. The decision to heal me, sparked the inspiration for countless others to do the same!
At the start of Covid, I created my online business, offering personal training to women who struggled with finding time for their self-care, health, and fitness goals. Many of these women would show up with their children and husbands. I understood how this passion could serve the community and our families.
This was ideal at that time because we were restricted in how we socialized. P916fit provided an online community where women could come, be themselves, and encourage each other to focus on their mental and physical health all while understanding that they weren’t alone. This space provided a lot of healing and has continued to do so, my mission is to continue this domino effect to impact these women and men who desire to live a life that is not indicative of the trauma that they sustained throughout their lives.
I hope that through our healing we can individually take that into our communities and our homes, and there will be a widespread acknowledgment for healing, and then the real process can begin.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
As far as social media, it’s important to me to show up as my full authentic self! I think that resonates more with people when they see how relatable you are. I’ve found that many of us, as a trauma response, have this false narrative that we are alone in the circumstances that created our struggles. The more I share, the more others have connected and that’s essentially how I’ve grown my social media. This season I intend to provide more transparency as I dive deeper into my healing journey!

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
I’ve learned the importance of showing up for others, and how equally important it is for me to show up for myself. The journey to healing, self-care, and optimal physical health is personal. No matter what’s going on around me, I make it a point to never forget that I was my first client.
