We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Trudie Robinson a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Trudie, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What do you think it takes to be successful?

I think that you have to be honest and hard working to be successful in the travel business. I have been working in the travel business since 1982. I have seen very good years and years that are very hard to make money . The worst years being when Covid was so bad. I think people have to realize that by using a travel agent we are here to help protect them and their investment in travel. Honesty and hard working have helped me to be successful.

Trudie, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

My mother was in the travel business and she was always traveling everywhere. I quit my job and went to travel school. I have been an agent since 1982.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

I think my reputation is from being in the business so long and also being dependable and honest.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?

The best source is from my past clients. They start to their friends how I got them such a good deal.
