We recently connected with Troy Richardson and have shared our conversation below.

Troy, appreciate you joining us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?

Every idea must have that seed planted at some point. My seat was planted Long ago by my late mother when she showed me the gift of giving to others and bringing Joy into their lives. I started my media company with an idea of doing a TV drama based on my personal experience. During this process I started a streaming TV network to help others get their content seen. This channel has been a blessing to many and is serving as a training ground or a minor league and the bridge to the pros and network television

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

I have always been around entertainment with my mother being a gospel singer and then I had the opportunity to be around celebrities such as Stevie Wonder. I was part of a group that did pretty well but never recorded anything major but it was a great experience and I knew that entertainment was my heart. While serving my country United States Air Force I also met some guys and we used to perform and record and that was a great experience working with seasoned musicians. People will come into your life for various reasons and we must maximize those encounters because they will be beneficial later on in life and I was able to always recognize that.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

Everyone that comes into your life is not meant to be part of your journey. People will be attracted to your energy and want to be a part of your dream and vision. People may start with good intentions that can end with bad results especially when they do not serve a purpose.

It is okay to just thank someone for supporting your vision without including them in your vision.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

There will be many doors closed in your face and many people telling you no. Must be ready to make sacrifice and leave familiar surroundings to go to unfamiliar territory. Believing in God first and believing in yourself is a must. I look at the beginning of my journey with literally no outside support and now today I stand with two Hollywood Legends serving as my mentor. If you had told me 5 years ago when I started my business that I would become a global speaker and be surrounded by this caliber of people I would not have believed that. Don’t get me wrong I always believed I would be successful at such a level that I would impact lives around the world. When God chooses you to do great things he will surround you with great people.
