Troy , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?
Q: How did you learn to do what you do?
I learned the art of visual storytelling first through serving others and putting myself in uncomfortable situations that made me ask good questions. All of this happened in the beginning of 2020. I became a student of the craft, took on mentors in the space, and honestly kept doing the hard thing until it became the easy thing with loads of passion and commitment to get better daily!
Q: Knowing what you know now, what could you have done to speed up your learning process?
I believe my process could have been accelerated by surrounding myself with people who are obsessed and delusional about getting better in the space of creativity and media. Risk-takers who don’t make excuses and eat problems for a snack. People who are hungry in the same areas of starvation that I am.
Q: What skills do you think were most essential?
A sense of resiliency, consistency, and a forever learner mentality were essential skills. These traits allowed me to push through challenges and continuously evolve in my craft.
Q: What obstacles stood in the way of learning more?
Obstacles are opportunities, and I have found that the greatest opportunity I have had so far is to get out of my own headspace. Self-doubt is the greatest destructive mechanism and is self-inflicted. I have no room for doubt or doubters. The mission stays the same. That’s The Code. And no one does it better!

How’d you meet your business partner?
I met Chuck Gallagher the way many great connections happen these days—through the power of social media and mutual respect in the creative space.
In 2024, I was consistently putting out work that resonated with people, building a reputation not just for quality visuals, but for being someone who showed up with integrity and purpose. I had a good name in the streets, and that name started to travel.
Chuck and I first crossed paths online. We were both in the media world, both passionate about storytelling, and both committed to excellence. What started as a few likes and comments turned into real conversations—phone calls, video chats, and eventually, road trips where we’d talk for hours about vision, purpose, and what it meant to create without boundaries.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I didn’t set out to build a massive following; I set out to tell stories that mattered. In early 2020, I began sharing my work consistently on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. Each post was an opportunity to connect, to inspire, and to learn.
What made the difference was my obsession with learning and improving. I studied trends, experimented with new formats, and paid close attention to what resonated with my audience. I wasn’t afraid to try new things, even if they didn’t always work out. Each misstep was a lesson, each success a stepping stone.
Over time, my dedication paid off. The community grew, not just in numbers, but in engagement and connection. People began to see the authenticity in my work, and that authenticity built trust.
Advice for Beginners:
