Troy, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?

My hope is to leave behind a legacy rooted in service towards others, a beacon of hope for future generations, and a reflection of God’s grace. I aspire for people to remember me as someone who lived a life dedicated to lifting others up, spreading love, and making a positive impact wherever I went. I want to be remembered for showing that one’s past does not define their value and for demonstrating resilience in the face of adversity. Ultimately, I aim to inspire others to live life with purpose, on purpose, and to embrace each day with love and intentionality.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I found my way into the media industry through a deep-seated desire to control our narrative and represent our community in a meaningful way. Feeling a sense of underrepresentation, I was driven to create media content that authentically reflected our experiences and perspectives. This led me to embark on a journey to provide a wide array of multimedia services, including photography, videography, panel moderation, emcee and DJ services, red carpet interviews, video podcast production, live event coverage, and drone services.

At our core, we aim to solve the problem of content curation strategy gaps for our clients. We offer full-service media consultation, guiding our clients from conceptualization to execution across various platforms, including social media, website curation, email campaigns, and SMS messaging. We provide a clear path for our clients to execute their media strategies, ensuring that their message reaches their intended audience effectively.

What sets us apart is our versatility and fluency both in front of and behind the camera. We understand the importance of being able to connect with audiences authentically, whether it’s through hosting, moderating panels, conducting interviews, or capturing captivating visuals. We firmly believe in the mantra, “If you don’t press record, it didn’t happen,” emphasizing the significance of documenting and sharing meaningful moments.

I am most proud of our commitment to excellence in every experience we deliver. From the quality of our media production to the level of service we provide to our clients, we strive to exceed expectations and leave a lasting impression. Our purpose goes beyond simply providing services; it’s about leaving behind a blueprint for the next generation of storytellers and media creators. Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

There was a time when I embarked on a thrilling journey to establish my own media company, fueled by the dream of creating a captivating TV show and being the face in front of the camera. With boundless enthusiasm and a clear vision in mind, I dove headfirst into the world of media, ready to make my mark.

However, as fate would have it, challenges soon emerged on the horizon. Financial hurdles began to loom large, threatening to derail my aspirations and cast shadows of doubt over my dreams. It was a daunting realization, but one that demanded a swift and decisive response.

In the face of adversity, I knew I had to pivot, to adapt to the changing circumstances and find a new path forward. And so, with a heavy heart but unwavering determination, I made the difficult decision to shift my focus from being in front of the camera to learning the intricacies of behind-the-scenes production work.

It was a leap of faith unlike any other, one that filled me with equal parts fear and excitement. Yet, as I delved deeper into the world of video production, I discovered hidden talents and abilities within myself that lay dormant, waiting to be awakened.

Through countless hours of trial and error, I honed my skills in editing, lighting, sound, and all the other intricacies of production work. I found myself navigating through the challenges with creativity and resourcefulness, finding workarounds to keep up with the demands of my clients.

With each obstacle overcome, I grew stronger and more confident in my abilities. What began as a daunting transition soon turned into a journey of self-discovery and empowerment. It was as if by stepping into the unknown, I had unlocked a new level of potential within myself.

Today, as I look back on that pivotal moment in my life, I realize that it was that shift into the unknown that birthed another level of talents and gifts within me. These newfound abilities have become invaluable assets in my work, allowing me to offer my clients a unique perspective and unparalleled dedication to my craft.

And so, I continue to share my talents and gifts with the world, grateful for the journey that led me to where I am today. For it was in embracing the unknown that I found the courage to unleash my true potential and pursue my passion with unwavering determination.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

My creative journey is fueled by a singular goal and mission: to create digital content that resonates with all audiences, leaves lasting impressions, and leads everyone to a better version of themselves.

Every piece of content I produce is crafted with intentionality and purpose. Whether it’s a thought-provoking video, a captivating blog post, or an engaging social media campaign, my aim is to connect with people on a deeper level and inspire positive change.
