We were lucky to catch up with Trisha Stetzel recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Trisha, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start big picture – what are some of biggest trends you are seeing in your industry?
One of the most powerful trends I’m seeing in the coaching and leadership development industry is the shift toward behavior-based, data-informed transformation—not just for individuals, but for entire teams. The demand for personalization has exploded. Leaders are no longer satisfied with surface-level training. They want to understand why their team behaves the way they do, how to communicate better, and what will drive performance and trust.
Let me give you an example. Last year, I worked with a company that was facing a lot of internal friction—departments weren’t aligned, trust was low, and communication was choppy at best. They had already “done training” before. But when we layered in DISC profiles, Driving Forces, and EQ assessments—and connected those insights to real business goals—the lights came on. Team members saw each other differently. They understood their own wiring and learned to appreciate, not just tolerate, their differences. One manager told me, “This is the first time I’ve felt like our training actually changed something.”
That right there is the trend. Leaders want real, measurable change, not theory. And that’s where the opportunity lies. The more we as coaches and trainers can tie behavioral data to business outcomes—sales growth, team performance, retention—the more value we bring.
But there are also concerns. With the rise of AI and tech tools, there’s a temptation to replace human connection with automation. That’s a mistake. The real transformation happens in conversation—in the coaching session, in the workshop, in the moment someone finally gets it. Tools are powerful, but they’re not the solution by themselves. That’s why I’m passionate about blending data with human connection, strategy with empathy.
This trend is also opening doors for underrepresented voices in leadership. More women, more veterans, more diverse leaders are stepping into the arena—and they’re asking for training that reflects their values and challenges. That’s exciting. Because when we support the right leaders in the right way, they create ripple effects that go far beyond the boardroom.

Trisha, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m Trisha Stetzel—Master Certified Leadership Coach, best-selling author, host of Houston Business Radio, and owner of ResultsXtreme Business Solutions powered by Focal Point of South Texas, which I proudly run alongside my husband and business partner, Dennis Stetzel. I’m also a U.S. Navy veteran, former corporate leader, and two-time franchise owner with over 20 years of experience helping organizations grow through leadership, strategy, and execution.
My journey into coaching wasn’t a straight path—it came from real-world experience, grit, and a deep desire to empower others. After leaving corporate America in 2007, I purchased my first business—a pet care franchise—and grew it to six figures. That experience taught me that most business owners don’t struggle because they lack talent or drive—they struggle because they’re isolated, overwhelmed, and missing a roadmap. I decided to become the coach I wish I had during that time.
Today, I help companies develop strong, high-performing, trust-driven teams through a blend of behavioral science, leadership training, and strategic coaching. At ResultsXtreme, we offer transformational programs such as:
Sales Breakthrough – empowering sales teams with behavioral insight and communication mastery
Communicating for Effectiveness – boosting collaboration, emotional intelligence, and leadership agility
Trust Edge Training – building high-trust, high-performance cultures
Client Journey Mastery – aligning service delivery from first contact to raving fan
And our flagship development experience, Thrive in 90 – a 90-day journey for emerging and established leaders
What sets us apart is our commitment to lasting, measurable impact. We don’t do surface-level training or one-off workshops. Our work is experiential, personalized, and deeply grounded in tools like DISC, Driving Forces, and Emotional Intelligence (EQ). We focus on creating clarity, accountability, and confidence—for both the individual and the organization.
We serve growth-minded companies with teams of 10+ who are ready to invest in their people and lead at the next level. Many of our clients are veteran-owned businesses, female-led organizations, or leadership teams going through major transitions.
What I’m most proud of? The lives we’ve helped transform—from CEOs who’ve regained control of their business and time, to teams who now operate with trust, alignment, and momentum. I’m especially proud to be a voice for female entrepreneurs and veteran leaders who are ready to rise and lead boldly.
Whether I’m coaching, writing, or hosting conversations on Houston Business Radio, my mission is the same: to empower leaders to build businesses that run with clarity, lead with purpose, and deliver meaningful results.
If you’re ready to stop spinning your wheels and start seeing real change—you don’t have to do it alone. I’m here to guide, challenge, and champion you every step of the way.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Consistency, integrity, and delivering real results. Those are the three pillars that have helped me build a strong reputation in my market—and they’re non-negotiable for me. I’ve always believed that your reputation isn’t what you say about your business—it’s what others say when you’re not in the room.
What’s helped me stand out is showing up the same way whether I’m leading a boardroom strategy session, speaking at an event, coaching one-on-one, or grabbing coffee with a referral partner. I don’t wear different masks—I’m direct, results-driven, and I lead with empathy.
I also built trust by doing what I said I would do. When I launched ResultsXtreme Business Solutions, I made a decision early on to build programs that actually move the needle—not just make people feel good for a day. That commitment to outcome-based coaching and training, backed by assessments and strategy, has made a lasting impression with clients and partners alike.
Lastly, I’ve poured into my community—hosting Houston Business Radio, supporting veteran-owned businesses, launching mastermind groups, and mentoring new coaches. I don’t believe in competition; I believe in contribution. And I think that mindset is what keeps people coming back and referring others my way.

Have you ever had to pivot?
One of the biggest pivots in my life came when I walked away from a successful corporate career to buy my first business. On paper, I had everything—a strong salary, leadership roles, and a clear upward path. But deep down, I knew I wanted something more. I craved freedom, ownership, and the ability to create something of my own.
So in 2007, I took the leap and bought a pet care franchise. It was exciting, humbling, and more challenging than anything I’d ever done. Overnight, I went from corporate meetings to managing employees, delivering services, and building systems from scratch. I was no longer backed by a big brand—I was the brand.
That business is still operating today and still serving clients. It taught me how to lead, how to sell, how to serve—and most importantly, how to adapt. But as I grew that business, I noticed a pattern in the conversations I was having with other entrepreneurs. They were struggling with the same things I had faced: isolation, decision fatigue, and lack of direction.
That insight led to my next major pivot—launching ResultsXtreme Business Solutions, where I now coach and train business owners and leadership teams to build high-performing, trust-driven organizations. I didn’t walk away from that first business—I built on it, using everything I learned to create deeper impact for others.
Every pivot I’ve made has come from listening to that inner voice that says, “You’re meant for more.” And what I’ve learned is this: Pivots don’t mean failure—they mean growth. They’re not signs you’re off track—they’re invitations to evolve.
