We recently connected with Trisha Gioia and have shared our conversation below.
Trisha, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Alright, so we’d love to hear about how you got your first client or customer. What’s the story?
Unique Home’s first online sale through Etsy is our Type 1 Diabetic Rosie the Riveter vinyl decal. The excitement of our first order was overwhelming! Then the review came in and we seriously jumped up and down again for quite a while. Haha. The feeling of making someone else feel safety and confidence from our unique items; there’s no better feeling!
Our vinyl car decals are truly perfect for all occasions.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Cayden and I, (Trisha) own and run our business together. Cayden survived an extremely difficult Type 1 Diabetes diagnosis. She is a walking miracle. Once out of the hospital and trying to adjust to our new lifestyle we had come to realize there isn’t much out there in retail stores for awareness accessories or support items/gifts. To which Unique Home by TandC was born.
Unique Home brings awareness accessories and personal support items and gifts to life!
We design and create original, diverse items that are not typically found in retail stores.

Do you sell on your site, or do you use a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc?
Cayden and I sell on the Etsy platform. This was such a simple question to answer! The weeks after diagnosis when we were searching for distinct items, Etsy was the only platform that truly had spectacular results!
And now, a few short years later with almost a thousand sales, we can tell you ourselves, Etsy sellers and buyers are really second to none!
We are so thankful for Etsy and all of our customers! We have many repeat customers that come back to see us consistently and we are so grateful for them!

How do you keep your team’s morale high?
Managing a team and keeping high morale can be difficult at times. No less, not much gets properly accomplished when one isn’t fully engaged. Keeping a group engaged is pretty fun as long as the person “in charge” has the correct mindset! ~Fun/Functional Surroundings
