Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Trinity Rose. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Trinity, appreciate you joining us today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
I love this question. I’m passionate about aligning my skills in brand strategy and creative leadership with purpose-driven brands and businesses. About 8 years ago, upon moving from NYC to LA, I made a conscious decision to only collaborate with brands and founders dedicated to making a positive impact on the world. This decision has enabled me to guide some incredible people and brands, but two projects particularly stand out for their vision and my role in their evolution.
First, my work with FISKER INC., an innovative electric vehicle company, was profoundly meaningful. I led their creative, marketing, and design teams through my brand strategy and storytelling process, crafting their brand guidelines and Brand Book. Working closely with Henrik Fisker was especially inspiring. His dedication to environmental impact and visionary mindset resonated deeply with my values, allowing us to advance the dialogue on sustainable transportation together.
Another significant project has been RITUEL, a luxurious wellness retreat in the Santa Monica mountains. From its conceptual phase, I have been actively shaping the business and brand alongside founder Eve Gaines and now serve as Brand Director. Launching during the height of COVID-19, we provided a healing sanctuary when it was most needed. Ever since, we have continued to focus our efforts on making a deep personal impact on others’ well-being.
These projects underscore my dedication to making a tangible difference through my work. They have guided my future endeavors with purpose-driven brands, reaffirming my commitment to using my expertise where it can have the most meaningful impact
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Absolutely! I’m a brand builder and a mentor, deeply committed to nurturing purpose-driven brands and small businesses. My journey started in NYC, where my early days as a stylist and creative director sowed the seeds for my passion. This path led me to co-found a sustainable fashion app, an early foray into AI technology, marking my first steps toward making a tangible impact through business.
What truly sets me apart, is my capacity to listen with empathy, to weave through layers of complexity, and to emerge with effective strategies that resonate on a deep level. My approach weaves together the internal drive of entrepreneurs with the nuts and bolts of business strategy, forming a powerful tapestry that propels purpose-driven endeavors forward.
Today, I pour my heart and expertise into conscious business mentorship, serving a kaleidoscope of clients who share a common goal: to make a positive impact. Whether you’re in wellness, sustainability, or any field where your work lights a spark of change, I’m here to help you amplify your voice and magnify your vision.
My shift to focus exclusively on purpose driven brands and small businesses has been incredibly rewarding. There’s a profound joy in aligning my work with causes that matter, helping not just to grow businesses, but to nurture them in a way that enriches our world.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
In the nascent stages of my consulting career, my sister humorously observed that I had a penchant for what she termed ‘over-collaborating’ or ‘over-harmonizing.’ While collaboration and harmonization are undeniably valuable traits, my approach often led to self-sacrifice due to a lack of boundaries, precipitating a host of challenges. The core issue stemmed from my difficulty in setting healthy boundaries with clients and appropriately valuing my time. My passion for my work was so profound that I frequently found myself offering too much of my time without fair compensation, resulting in both burnout and financial strain.
Moreover, this tendency to ‘over-collaborate’ compromised my time management skills, further exacerbating the situation. The turning point for my business—and for me personally—came when I mastered the art of saying ‘no.’ This seemingly simple act of establishing and enforcing boundaries revolutionized my professional relationships and personal well-being. Learning to assert myself and prioritize my needs was not just about self-preservation; it was about respecting the value of my work and ensuring the sustainability of my business.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Absolutely, my guiding mission is deeply intertwined with my personal ‘why.’ As I’ve mentioned, leveraging my skills to support founders and brands dedicated to making a positive impact on both people and the planet is paramount to me. This commitment fuels my love for my work and propels me forward, even through the toughest days. Let’s face it, no matter how passionate we are about our professions, challenges and difficult moments are inevitable. Yet, it’s this very purpose—my desire to contribute to meaningful change—that keeps me motivated and resilient, regardless of the hurdles I encounter.
