We were lucky to catch up with Trinity A. Page recently and have shared our conversation below.
Trinity, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
When I was Six-years old I went and told my mom that I was going to be on TV. I remember being a little girl watching The Cosby Show, A Different World and Fresh Prince of Bel-Air etc. It was something about seeing these shows and the different dynamics that each show brought. From The Cosby Show I got to see a family raising their children together in a two parent house hold. A Different World were young adults going to college. The fresh Prince of Bel-Air was another family giving their nephew new opportunities. I was so inspired, to see how these characters touched everyone who tuned into watch in their living rooms weekly including myself. Somewhere, someone could either relate or be inspired and say that’s what I want to do.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I was born in raised in Detroit, MI. I knew at the tender age of six years old that I had a love for TV and Film. Throughout, my childhood I would showcase my talents in school plays, my mother enrolled me in performing arts school so that I could continue to perfect my craft. By the time I graduated high school I studied at the Detroit Repertory Theater. Fast forward to September 2007 I made the decision to pursue my dreams even further and moved to Los Angeles, CA. I studied and received my Bachelor’s Degree (Acting for film) from the New York Film Academy. Upon, graduating I started working for a stylist who works with one of the biggest names in Hollywood.
From there I crossed over to the TV and Film world as a Motion Picture Costumer. Working on set has taught me sooooo much and what it takes to put on a production.
As a costumer you’re not just dressing someone you’re really putting an entire look together that creates the character. Which fashion is something I have always loved. By me working as a costumer I’ve tapped into another lane of fashion for myself. I call it “The Trin Effect” its fashion that makes you feel good. It’s classy, confident and charismatic.
When I’m styling or creating a look for someone I want them to feel good all away around. I love to create and mix different pieces together. I think about what they want and what pops and how they’re going to feel once the look comes together..

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
My story, my journey is I never gave up on myself. I stayed consistent and stuck to going after what I believed in which is the “arts”. No, matter the obstacles you face just know that you’re going to make it just keep pressing on. Have faith, trust in God because he will bless you beyond your wildest dreams. Keep a strong foundation around you that will lift you up when you need encouragement. Know that this is your journey. Your story that will only inspire others to never give up! I’m the little six -year old girl from Detroit with big dreams, goals an aspirations. It’s in me to keep on going no matter what that’s my daily reminder.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
That when I have an idea I write it down right away because one idea always leads to another. There is so much I see for myself. On thee Acting side I’m able to transform into another character by bringing their story to life. When I studied at the New York Film Academy I discover that I’m a writer and in 2017 I wrote my first pilot for scripted TV. Now in 2023 I’m working on my fashion blog “The Trin Effect” and this is why I say, to myself all the time how much I love the arts because as creator you’re always working on something and that’s the beauty of being an artist.
