We were lucky to catch up with Trinity Hinton recently and have shared our conversation below.
Trinity, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Almost all entrepreneurs have had to decide whether to start now or later? There are always pros and cons for waiting and so we’d love to hear what you think about your decision in retrospect. If you could go back in time, would you have started your business sooner, later or at the exact time you started?
If I could go back in time I would have started my businesses sooner. I first fell in love with photography in high school but finances, at the time, didn’t allow for me to obtain the camera that I truly wanted. So I did a little bit here and there with drawing a variety of artwork for others. This is also around the time I came up with my Lifestyle Brand, E.P.I.C. CR3ATION. As a student with limited finances I would create the things that I saw, and wanted, since buying what others had was simply out the question. This later helped me to develop my own sense of style, and identity, which is shown through all of my work. Freshmen year of college at Christmas I was blessed with a camera to finally start taking photos! Big thank you to my Mom and TiLonda for making this possible. Not long after I was asked to do my first photoshoot. A colleague of mine at the same school needed graduation photos and asked if I’d be interested in the job. Humbled, yet excited, to take on this opportunity I said yes and since then I’ve been doing photoshoots that not only include graduations, but engagements, maternity, weddings, and so much more! So I feel, had I started earlier, my business would be further along and would have expanded my clientele list in more regions of the world to allow for international exposure.

Trinity, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Trinity Hinton, my brand is E.P.I.C. CR3ATION, and I also work as a traveling photographer under the name of “TrinGotTheShot”. E.P.I.C. CR3ATION stands for Essentials, Passion, Individuality, & Creativity; a brand that can be enjoyed by all ages. Not only are there wearable items but also many other useful items and artwork that are available with my branding. A non-inclusive list would include t-shirts, hats, hoodies, corner page book markers, LED cup coasters, different color dubraes for your shoes, and a host of other useful items.
My logo is intriguing and opens the opportunity to discuss more with potential customers and people in general. Thank you to my good friend Erin Lyttle who helped me illustrate the final logo, which is a backwards “E” and the letter “C” combined. I look to include items that are unique and unusual to customers. I’m most proud of how I am able to offer limited quality items to people who shop off the beaten path. Quality over quantity always!
TrinGotTheShot, my photography business started from an artistic place and has grown into a service that provides quality, well edited photographs for all occasions. Facts about my businesses are integrity based and grown by word of mouth and with many satisfied customers. My online scheduling system allows for interested clients to book the session they want with the number of total wardrobe changes/shots they need at the price they can afford. With this information up front there are no surprises. I am professional, discreet, responsible, and reliable. I take pride in my work and allow my work to speak for itself so I take all projects entrusted to me seriously.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Seeing my imagination come to fruition and also it becoming something I can physically touch in reality.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
I’d say the best source for me personally has been word of mouth from satisfied clientele and friends/family members who support my art!
