Trina, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.

Prior to becoming a mom I only traveled within the United States. It was as if North America was the only continent I believed to be in reach of. When I had my daughter at the age of 24 I was not in a good place financially and barely made rent so taking a vacation yet alone travel was not even a thought. However, life took a turn when I completed my bachelors degree at Bowie State University and joined the US Air Force. I suddenly explored the idea of traveling to new countries and I became aware of my spending in budgeting. When my daughter was 2 I made the decision to get her a passport. We went on our first international trip together as mom and daughter. The idea of Mommy and Me Take Flight came to existence to inspire moms and share the real life trip taken from DC to Germany.

Trina, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

My business and brand focus is allowing moms to see they can balance a career and mom life while exploring new places in the world. I offer reviews on popular locations and also share must-do tips and insight.

Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?

I am a firm believer that each person on earth has a divine purpose to fulfill. My daughter is my co-founder because I believe as parents its our duty to help ignite our child passions.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

Being in the community to be a service at book events has built my reputation within my market along with partnering up with those in the same industry.
