We recently connected with Trimeloni Frazier and have shared our conversation below.
Trimeloni, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?
I hope to leave a legacy that I served people every chance I got. Since I was a child I was always taught to help people if I could and not to worry about how or if I would get anything in return. I think people will say they love my spirit, I have a kind heart and I enjoy making people laugh. I hope to be remembered for making people feel seen and heard, accepted for who they are, and being selfless. Life isn’t about credentials or materials things. It’s about your character and serving others when no one is watching.

Trimeloni, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I have been a makeup artist for 13 years and a licensed esthetician for 5 years. While I was in the military I started putting a little extra effort into doing my makeup for holiday parties or hanging out with friends, when I was in a location to do so. People would compliment me on my makeup and ask if I did makeup for other people. During that time I did not. I was flattered but also nervous to do anyone else’s makeup. Once I separated from active duty I kind of hit the ground running. I immediately started networking with photographers, promoters and models. I offered services for hair and fashion shows. After building my confidence doing makeup my clients started asking me about my skin. At that time I couldn’t offer any professional advice but I did know what worked for my skin may not necessarily work for someone else. So that planted the seed that was another area to focus on and assist people who wanted to improve their skin health and not rely on makeup. I love doing creative/dramatic makeup looks. I am most proud of the reputation I’ve gained for achieving results and providing a comfortable relaxing experience. I specialize in corrective skincare, hyperpigmentation, and treating various types of acne.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Covid definitely forced me to pivot. Not being able to service clients in person presented a different type of challenge but when that became reality I had to adjust. During that time I provided online consultations, taught virtual makeup classes, took online orders and shipped products to clients.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Authenticity is key! People want to get to know the real you and see who they will potentially be doing business with. Show your personality, educate, be responsive, and make posts that add value in some way. Be consistent. Keep it simple. People will remember every interaction they have with you so respond to questions within a reasonable timeframe. If your clients are comfortable with it take photos and tag them. When they share on their social media accounts you have now been exposed to a new network.
