We were lucky to catch up with Trevor Williams recently and have shared our conversation below.

Trevor, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today How did you come up with the idea for your business?

Tell us the story of how you came up with the idea for your business.

I came up with the idea of Righteous Relentless; it started when my wife was asking me what I wanted for my birthday, and I wanted clothes, but I didn’t find anything that I liked. I started to think, if I had a clothing brand, what would I create? The more I thought about it, I started searching for different concepts. Leading up to my birthday, I started making stuff just for fun because I thought I would never be able to create a clothing brand just due to past experiences that stopped me from creating a clothing brand. On my birthday, my wife gifted me two of the concepts of the designs I made and looked into my eyes and told me, “I believe in you and the vision God has given to you. You have the vision now go run with it” that word unlocked something within me that I didn’t know that I needed. Now we’re going into our third year of Righteous Relentless, and I never thought within the three years we would have so much success we have now. It’s all because of God, I can’t express that enough.

Paint the picture for us so we really understand the context, circumstances, the emotions etc. Walk us through how you knew this was a worthwhile endeavor – talk to us about the logic of why you felt this would work?

When I decided to start Righteous Relentless, I felt so many emotions just for the fact that I always wanted to have my own a clothing brand, remembering growing up going shopping for school and getting so many clothes and making outfit combinations for the week, watching BET and MTV after school to see what celebrities are wearing and trying to put my personal touch on it. So they are so many emotions that came with knowing I was about to step into a dream that I’ve never thought I’ll be able to do. When I made that decision, within a few weeks, God gave me over 100 designs/ concepts, and I looked up everything I could think of on how to get started. I knew that the timing was right and it was the timing to walk into my dream.

Were you solving a problem that no one else was solving?

I believe yes because we have so many great Christian clothing brands around, but not following trends to bring the bible to life, we are missing. Yes, some Christian brands do, but they get it in an art form where it sparks conversations in a way it hasn’t done before. Everyone has their own way of bringing their vision to life, but I feel in the space we’re in we haven’t reached where God is trying us take us to.

Were you offering a unique approach or what about this idea got you most excited?

What excites me most about Righteous Relentless is the love and support we have gotten so far within these two years. We call our customers Family because of the bond and the loyalty we have created within those two years, and our family does not keep us to themselves. Still, they continue to spread the word about us and, most importantly, continue to spread the gospel to others. We know that 2023 will be life-changing for the brand. The best is yet to come!

Hi, my name is Trevor. I am the steward and owner of Righteous Relentless. How I got into the Clothing industry On my 26th Birthday, my wife gifted me a gift that changed my life. The gift was two shirts, one of which says Righteous & Relentless and the other says Relentless. My wife looked into my eyes and said, “You have the vision; now run with it.” that day, Righteous Relentless was born. Righteous Relentless was founded in March 2020 and officially launched on May 21, 2020. We offer Tees, Hoodies, Sweatpants, Trucker Hats, and more! What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

I believe what helped build our reputation is how we treat our customers and the quality of the items we release. I believe in the spirit of excellence and doing everything in God’s timing. We want our customers to have the best experience possible when they become a part of our family. If it’s a prayer request, words of encouragement, having an issue ordering an item, etc. We want to give that Chic-FilA experience but in our very own way. We believe in God’s timing when releasing new things, even creating new programs for our customers. We want to ensure that it’s well worth it for each individual. We know everything will not be perfect, but we strive to provide that what we give will be satisfying and enjoyable to the customer.
