We recently connected with Trevor Jarland and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Trevor, thanks for joining us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?

Got me interested in tattooing was when I was 11 years old I was watching TV and I can’t remember what the car show was called but somebody airbrushed a really cool pharaoh head on the hood of a classic car and I thought that’s really cool then the following show that came on was Miami Inc. and somebody tattooed something similar to it and right then and there was when I decided I want to Tattoo when I am older.

Trevor, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

When it comes to my business and tattooing and dealing with clients, I pride myself on the ability to help problem, solve with helpful customer service and maintaining a proper professional and personal boundary. I do my best to educate and inform people on what options may be best, however at the end of the day is their tattoo and they will get the tattoo they want. I believe what sets me apart is my patience and ability to understand my client.

As much as I would enjoy doing the styles that I love doing every day. Tattooing is a service industry and it is our job and duty to give the clients what they’re asking for to unapologetically express themselves personally, and emotionally. To make them feel like their tattoo is set apart from everybody else else’s to make it genuinely there’s.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

I started tattooing October 2012 and as of June 11, 2025 I will officially open my tattoo shop in Carson City Nevada. It is my goal to make my tattoo shop the destination tattoo shop around my area. Striving for great customer service to create relationships and loyalty from my clients. I want to grow something that’s valued by all through our industry and createa safe place for people to come to get Tattoo to not feel judged for unapologetically expressing themselves.

Another goal is to become a pillar and a part of our community to help grow understanding of proper tattooing for the protection of our clients for health and cleanliness on top of fundraisers to grow awareness for others.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

Probably one of the greatest rewards is seeing the smile on somebody’s face after receiving their tattoo. Doing a kick ass bright bold colorful Tattoo is awesome on my end however, even a basic infinity that puts a smile on somebody’s face means more to me in my business than a cool tattoo. Cool tattoos would help the business and bringing more business. However, a happy client will become a longtime client and help bring in more potential clients based off their enjoyable experience with the customer service that we plan to provide.
