We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful FloridaBoiTre. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Trevius below.
Alright, FloridaBoiTre thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
Joining the Marines. I joined at the height of ISIS being a issue, the risk was the unknowing of what could be in the future. I was an 0311 so really, Was there a future? It turned out ok. Got my benefits and I was blessed to come home somewhat heathy. I can not complain.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
I do not like to be labelled as a rapper. I would rather be labelled a artist, because I do not want to be cornered in a certain box, I try to make music for everyone. If you do not like one song or project, keep looking you may find your vibe. Being a Florida artist you tend to hear the similarity between artist from here,. My sound you would have to guess.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Joinging the marines while having a hidden love of music. Being deployed and asking my then wife at the time send beats but she would laugh with a so called friend. Finding music again while in a dark place during a low point in life. Now I have listeners and they really enjoy my music.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
I have three daughters, in my current situation I can not see them as much as I want to. I just want to put us in a home that has enough room for the kids to grow in, nice schools, a better life than what I got to experience.
