We were lucky to catch up with Trenton Steele recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Trenton, thanks for joining us today. Can you recount a time when the advice you provided to a client was really spot on? (Please note this response is for education/entertainment purposes only and shouldn’t be construed as advice for the reader)
Consistency: Consistency is key when it comes to achieving and maintaining fitness goals. Establish a regular exercise routine and stick to it. Consistent effort, even in small increments, will yield better results than sporadic intense workouts. Progress takes time and that staying committed to your fitness journey, even during challenging times, will lead to long-term success.
Set Realistic and Sustainable Goals: Everyone is different so you set realistic and achievable goals that align with your own individual capabilities and lifestyle. Focus on making small, sustainable changes over time rather than striving for drastic transformations. This approach will prevent burnout and foster a positive mindset, allowing you to celebrate small victories along the way.
Find Enjoyment in the Process: Although I do lifting, I encourage you to find physical activities you genuinely enjoy. Whether it’s dancing, hiking, swimming, or weightlifting, discovering activities you find fun and engaging will make your fitness journey more enjoyable and sustainable. Experiment and explore different forms of exercise until you find what resonates with you.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My introduction to my fitness journey is going to start with how the gym is not my whole life. I am a college student at The Ohio State University. I spend my Sundays at church and prioritizing time with family. I love trying new food and discovering local gems in my area of Columbus, OH. At the end of a long day, I can be found unwinding with a video game or watching comedy.
The gym isn’t my whole life, but more-so an aspect of my life that I hold to high standard. It goes back to when I was in middle school. I wasn’t quite satisfied with the way I looked being the tall, skinny kid. My friends around me started going to the gym and I, with them, could see some major changes over time. I knew I wanted to pursue the same thing and wanted to see what it could do in my own life.
Motivated by my own progress, I began documenting my fitness journey on social media platforms such as Instagram and YouTube. Initially, it was just a way for me to hold myself accountable and connect with like-minded individuals who were also pursuing their fitness goals.
Over time, I started sharing my workouts, custom training, and personal experiences with my growing audience. I was thrilled to receive positive feedback and messages from people who found my content inspiring and helpful in their own fitness journeys. That’s when I realized the potential to turn my passion into something more significant.
I have gone as far in creating my own e book, have networked with bigger brands that have allowed me the ability to provide discount codes, and have made my page filled with free advice for anyone. I am always just a DM away from you starting your journey too!
I think what sets me apart from other trainers and content creators, is my main priority is an interpersonal connection. Instead of giving out “cookie cutter” workout and meal plans, I differentiate mine based on a person’s lifestyle, genetics, and goals. I only take a number of clients I can give the best experience to at this type of level rather than just having a bunch.
At the end of the day, I am just a regular person who stayed consistent. Nothing more, nothing less. Anyone has the ability to attain what they think is unattainable. It just starts with you wanting a change.

Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
The gym can be very intimidating. I would say the best advice would be to be as relatable and transparent as possible. It is hard to see the end goal when you are only exposed to individuals who have been training for long amounts of time. Keep you mental health in check. It can be easy to negatively compare yourself to others and what they have achieved rather than looking at how far you have personally come.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I am authentic within my reviews. I do not like to sugar coat things and only full in to stuff I genuinely would use. One of my biggest accomplishments was going on prep for my first ever bodybuilding competition. Along with posting how lean I became, I also posted how depleted I felt, the lack of sleep I was getting, and how my mental health was at an all-time low. I think others would have only posted the ‘good’ within that time period. But, in my opinion, you are more reputable when you show the full reality within anything.
