Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Trenisha Jones. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Trenisha thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Do you have a hero? What have you learned from them?
My mother is my hero/SHERO! This is possibly 95% of people’s answer, however, I can guarantee you, my shero is unmatched! I was literally blessed with the best Mother on Earth and I always tell people she is literally an angel on Earth. Anyone that knows her or has met her will tell you the same thing. She’s always there for anyone whenever you need her. How is she there for everyone at the same time? I have no idea, but she is!!!
Growing up, she did everything in her power to make sure we had everything we needed. She made sure we were at church every Sunday and Wednesday. Working several jobs at a time, Single mother of 3 girls and never once did I hear her complain. She did what she had to do to make sure we were taken care of. And not just us, she opened up her home to so many family members too. She would always have our cousins over to spend the night, she would take us to arcades and things like that (just so we could spend time with family). Now that I am a Mother of 3, I look back and wonder where her patience came from.
Even these paragraphs of me trying to explain her to you isn’t giving it any justice. You would just have to experience her to know why she’s my Shero!
She raised 3 beautiful talented, strong and successful women. It was her guidance that made me the business owner I am today. Her patience, her willingness to help others, her dedication to her children, her strong faith in God. She instilled all these things in us. There is a lot of mothers that think that once their child turns a certain age, they don’t have to be there for them anymore. My mother is so different. There will never be a time where she isn’t there for her kids for whatever we make need help with. I wish more people were like her.
My mother is always there to help me when it comes to my events. She will be my babysitter, my table setter, my balloon prepper, anything! Any and everything I need help with, she will be right there to do it. I am the type of person that don’t like to ask for help. She will insist and I appreciate her for that.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Trenisha Jones. I am the owner of J5 Events, formally known as Jones, Party of 4. I have always loved decorating and creating cute little crafts. I would always decorate parties for my family members. I was really good at it so I officially started my business back in 2018.
I’ve planned and decorated all 3 of my baby showers and all of my kids birthday parties. Fun fact, I actually missed my last baby shower because I was sent to the hospital. After I finished decoration, I started feeling like I was going into labor. My family and friends still stayed and enjoyed my baby shower while I watched them on FaceTime from the hospital bed lol.
I started out decorating these events by myself to now having a team of 5 people. I’ve done events for big names for example, Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson (RIP), DART, Williams Chicken and Author Demi Austin Thomas. I am hoping to make many more connections in the near future.
At J5 Events, we do full setups for baby showers, birthday parties, bridal showers, housewarmings etc.
What sets us apart from other companies that are doing the same thing in the DFW area is our customer service. My goal is to make this process as smooth as possible for my client and to make them feel like we are family. I have so many loyal clients that book me every year for this very reason. My prices are reasonable and I’m so easy to work with. Communication is so important to me. My clients know that if they are needing anything from me or having any issues, they can reach out to me and we will figure this thing out together! Everytime I am trying a new service or a new way of doing things, I always have my loyal clients try it first and having them give me feedback before I actually launch it. I love them so much for sticking with me for this long.
We are working on something really big in the near future and I cant wait to try it out with my Loyals!

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
The best source of clients for me has definitely been client referrals. Current clients sending me new clients warms my heart because no one is going to refer someone that they didn’t like working with. For them to refer their family members to me is evident that they were beyond satisfied with the services I provided to them. I am forever grateful for these type of clients and I make sure I take care of every new client as well as the other so that the pattern continues.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Consistency. I am not the best at posting content however, I make sure I keep my business page active. I have a few posts that has went viral and I also have a lot that didn’t do too well. I still make sure I post something just putting myself out there because it will get to the right person at some point. My advice would be to keep posting relevant content, keep your page active and show love to other businesses so they can return the favor.
