We were lucky to catch up with Trench recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Trench, thanks for joining us today. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?
I grew up in a very musical and artistic family. My dad was always being creative while I was growing up and with him being in Entertainment himself, I was always surrounded by the spark of art. Growing up I loved creating things and being able to take nothing and create something, or to be able to take something and make it 100x bigger and more exciting. My father, who is a professional song writer with BMI down in Nashville TN amongst other things, always taught me growing up to chase my dreams and to never be afraid to take chances. My parents have both been very supportive of me throughout the years and have always been in my corner, guiding me and encouraging me to never give up even when times get tough.
Trench, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Starting back in December of 2020 I was introduced to TheRavenArmed via a community raid. Right of the bat I was hooked to his intoxicating energy and explosive personality, “Not to mention who doesn’t love an epic Jack Sparrow Cosplay”. After a few months of being around in the community I started becoming closer friends with Raven and then started Moderating. Over the next year or so I would start to develop my video editing skills and as well as falling more in love with Moderating and being a Community Manager. I started doing more and more video projects for Raven and then over the next year or so I would gain the attention of another amazing streamer named Camlay, who would become my very first paid client who I still edit for to this day. Currently my main two clients are Raven & Camlay but I am currently looking at taking on more clients. I really love what I do and being able to help keep these amazing communities safe as well as being able to edit some gut busting funny content is just the cherry on top.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The best advice I can give for growing Clientele is to network and socialize with people. Make friends and get to know people. Being trustworthy and honest can also go a long way.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
For me personally, I love that moment when everything with the video project is finished, and I get to sit back and watch it for the first time completed in its entirety and see how everything came together. Of course, there is those moments when something is off and I need to go back and adjust something before sending the final off but it’s still so rewarding seeing something come together after spending hours and hours on a project.
