We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Tremya Sheats a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Tremya, thanks for joining us today. What can you share with us about the story behind how you found your key vendors?
For finding a good vendor for things that you would like to use or sale, you have to really do your research. What I mean by that is really study the product. Ask these questions; Is it good quality? Will it last long? I believe in investing money into your business if you want to thrive. Recently I started selling lace bands and it took me a minute to find one with good quality. After looking around I found the perfect vendor. I was very skeptical at first, so I only ordered one. When I received it I instantly fell in love because it came out exactly how I wanted. They were a yes for the questions I ask myself before purchasing, which is how I chose them.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am TreMya Sheats. The face of TStyles. I got into doing hair by growing up watching my mom do hair and I just took after her. Doing hair is like my therapy, I always feel at ease when I’m doing it. I love doing what I do and making others feel good about themselves with a nice hairstyle. My clients or anyone who comes to me know I am a perfectionist, anytime they bring me a style I have to do it exactly like it or even better with my own twist. What set me apart from others is that I am very affordable with nice work. Something that I am most proud of is how far I’ve came. I have had doubts about how my business will grow along the way, but everything works in God’s favor, and I am so proud of how everything is growing.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
Ways that I keep in contact with clients is via DM on Instagram as well as text messages. After someone books an appointment they automatically recieve a email with the date, time, and service for there appointment. They do receive a auto follow up email, as well as a text message reminder from me personally.
How did you build your audience on social media?
My audience on social media is not as big currently but it is growing. The best way to build is to post content constantly, that is how most people are drawn to you. Also when I post I try to use hashtags relevant to what I am posting. Hashtags reach out to people who are interested in what you are doing.
