Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Treisha Parker Combo. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Treisha , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?
My Parents have taught me many lessons. My Mother always encouraged me to write a book and I was not really interested in writing a book at all. As time passed I finally decided to write this book about money. My parents have shown me how to save money and live life to the fullest. When we were younger they would always take us on trips. Places like New York, Maryland and Pennsylvania. My dad taught me how to drive and he would let me cut grass. According to me I have the Best Parents Ever.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

Have you ever had to pivot?
In February of 2020 I started the process of getting my LLC. I attended a real estate conference and it was exciting and I wanted to work with some of the people that I had met there. As time passed Covid hit and everything shut down. I had to make a change, so I went into the Mobile Notary business. It was fun getting back outside and working with people. One day I got a gig delivering paperwork for a lawyer. Well it had got dark and I was out trying to get the paperwork signed. A man was not very happy that I was there trying to get paperwork signed. He pulled a Gun on me, His wife was there at the door with him, in that moment I was not afraid. I explained to him what I was there for and he declined to sign. Which was fine by me, but when I got back in my car. I had to replay over what had just happened to me. I was done with Mobile Notary. That was the most pivotal moment for me in my Notary career. I was done with that and the company was trying to stiff me on payment. The risk was way too high for me.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
2018 working as a Paparazzi Consultant, inventory was moving slowly. Our Up line challenged us to go Live on Facebook for 30 days straight. I Won the challenge and by doing this I was more confident and comfortable with being me on camera. Get started, practice on your phone, make notes if you need to. I went from not liking the camera to Loving the camera. I am Live at least once a week and posting at least twice a day. The other advice is stay consistent, it will pay off.
