Alright, Treasure thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.

In life all we do is take risks to teach or reach a goal we set for ourselves. In some situations it’s a big risk but the reward is bigger & worth it. One major risk in life I took was relocating across the country with my children and completely starting over from scratch. Initially I thought I was moving to assist a friend with some lifestyle changes and rebranding for her businesses so we could grow it together, but I soon found out that was not the plan and jumped in my own drivers seat.
In that life changing risk I changed the environment for which I was comfortable with me and my children and I had faith that everything would work out in our favor for the best. Taking risks you learn that you may not know what is actually better for you until you are given options of what is not good or comes naturally to you. Moving across the country I found in a very short time that I would be taking more risks after this move than ever before in my life.
I accomplished moving successfully but now I was looking to create my image and ground my business which was another risk I had to take. I moved to Los Angeles California and trust me it is not easy to be in the city of Angels but I did it and for 5 years straight at that. I knew what I wanted to do and who I was becoming so I got right to work creating a plan for Women’s Empowerment events and the purpose for them was unity and respect for each other.
I attended my first event in LA and that with my determination was the birth of TreasureGemz Events. My first empowerment event sold out hosting 100 women in April 2018 & I was truly overwhelmed with love and excitement. I got right to work with my next event that took place July 2018. I created several events consisting of Yoni Yoga, Women’s Meetups, Beach Yoga, Empowerment Events, Fashion Shows & more. I knew I had found another calling and I was great at it! Before moving to LA I launched my Holistic Healing Shop which is an online women’s healing shop and after creating events I was able to incorporate vending at these events for my self and other women in business. This was very successful for me until the pandemic’s hit & I was forced to cancel events and wait it out with the rest of the country. That pandemic did nothing but give me space to take another risk which was creating my Mobile Spa Bus & I am happy to say my business survived the pandemic and is still thriving along with new business ventures and risks I took to create a lifestyle that suits me. I personally take risks constantly and would not be where I am without them. I encourage taking risks for reward because you will never know how far you can go if you don’t try. The bigger the risk the better the reward and even if the risk doesn’t reach its potential, you will always be able to start again but this time with experience.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

The main goal when establishing this business was to educate women on the benefits and uses of Yoni Eggs. I first became interested in Holistic health and spirituality in early 2015. Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?

In my field a major thing you need other than training or knowledge is compassion, empathy and understanding for your clients and needs. I have met so many women with a range from similar to individual ailments they wanted advice on or alternatives to treat. Discretion is widely used when dealing with sensitive topics with women because as much as I want to share about who or what I have heal or rejuvenate I can’t. I am in a very private field which I have to create a relationship starting with trust. In holistic or any healing process or environment, trust is always the first thing you create with your client and from there the possibilities are endless and the relationship will be infinite.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?

In growing , branding or any business venture effective communication is a key element in success and survival. A lot of people can create a brand and it be successful for a moth or two, but the key is longevity and I myself have made money and also declined in sales significantly more than once. Content is an attraction tool to inform and educate potential clients and current customers. Social media is used very widely and is very beneficial to any brand because you will always find people on social media. So I recommend or encourage you to go where the people are, and don’t be afraid of a no. There will be more people who are against you in the beginning but they are not for you. You will reach who you are supposed to reach and they will be consistent loyal clients. Giveaways and promotions are attractive to consumers because everyone wants a discount. My first year in business I tanked and was not even close to profit. My second year I gave free shipping on every order & by year 3 no one even noticed I was charging for shipping and orders continued to pour in. Everyone will be different but in this time for businesses social media content is definitely at the top of the list.
