Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Treana White. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Treana , thanks for joining us today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?

To become successful I believe it takes determination and resilience. With those two traits you will be able to take the losses that come in business and life in general, assess them and keep striving. The journey is a hard one that I am still on. However, I have been on it long enough to know you have to want it with everything in you. When you want it that bad, every loss is a lesson and every lesson is a stepping stone !

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I am Treana White. I am a mother, author, and graphic designer. I have had a very challenging life but it’s allowed me to become naturally resilient which in turn has helped me in my business journey. I am a natural creative and I have always used my creativity in ways that most would not. I can honestly say graphic design was more of a hobby for me since high school. In 2020 my family and I were placed in a situation and where we lost everything. I was 8 months pregnant and knew I needed a way to provide for my baby. I took a look at the things that I was doing for free and wondered would anyone pay me for it. The same day I put it out there was the same day I had my first client. From there, I invested in classes that would increase my knowledge in the field and decided to start my business journey. By June 2022 I had legalized my business and started building my brand. I grew from 0 supporters to over 6 thousand in just 2 months. I truly believe God works in mysterious ways, he places us in situations that will help mold us into who he needs us to be in our winning season. I take every loss as a lesson and every no as a blessing !

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?

Although I have always been creative, I have also loved writing. It’s helped me cope with losing my mother at a young age, helped deal with the things I’ve experienced in the foster care system and even get though life in general. I was in school studying creative writing and psychology before I started my journey. I had 6 classes left when our lives were turned upside down. Due to the severity, I ultimately had to unenroll from school and give up everything I had been working on for years. However, I believe the path I am on now is the path I was meant to be on, it’s what was destined for me, sometimes a pivot is what’s needed. Sometimes being flexible in our desires is a must !

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

Social media is a huge marketing campaign. My advice to growth on social media would be to build your personal brand !!! Do this first, me authentically YOU ! This will allow you to build genuine connections with people who care about you and want to see all that the world has for you ! Be consistent and relatable. Also know it is not fur everyone, but anyone can do it !
