We were lucky to catch up with Tre Main recently and have shared our conversation below.
Tre Main, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
Growing up in a rural farm town in Kansas may not have been in my control as a teen – though it was farthest from what I envisioned for myself.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I began writing at a very young age. My troubled childhood, shuffling from home to home enabled me to write down my thoughts and feelings, capturing my experiences along the way. Of course that would not be without a love for music.
How did you build your audience on social media?
I started my craft awhile back when music sites for independent artists and musicians such as MySpace & Artistopia were just coming about on the internet. I remember my very first songs written, recorded and produced in which I decided to post online, While I would mainly get positive comments, I wasn’t experiencing the kind of response I hoped to receive. While the potential had been there at the time (according to listeners) I wanted to take the time to really perfect it though most importantly to establish myself as a reputable singer and writer . Day after day, Month after month, Year after year I would continue writing and recording to share online with anyone whom would listen – and it became somewhat of a ripple effect with my ability to attain new listeners. Any chance there were a new opportunity or a new site for music artists I would to post my sound to new listeners while they really become the driving force behind my music and getting it heard.
I am not an overnight sensation by any means. I’ve been writing and recording long enough to hopefully and finally turn it into a thriving career for myself whether as a Singer Performer, Singer writer, or a behind the scene force. While the music industry has changed over the years, it has become common for a artist(s) to build their own music verse as an entrepreneur cutting out any middlemen. I have learned a lot along the way and keep continue to learn and embrace anything that will continue to help me thrive in my passion..
If you are considering music as your life’s work I would recommend you research and search out any site that will allow you to promote your music. There are so many resources now that the opportunities are endless. Put your name out there anyway and anyhow you can. Things always happen in time.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Yes! My mission is to bring various types of listeners together through my craft. we live in such a divisive society it seems that you’re either one side of the token or the other. Music has always been the common thread. If I can get listeners to take a step back to realize that there are different types of people who perhaps feel the way they do, OR there is someone who has been through what they have been through, and is able to share it openly and passionately – and the listeners in turn are able to feel the emotion, or the rhythm or the beat just moves them – then I as an artist I would have doe what I had always imagined to do, whether famous or not. I have done my job.
