We recently connected with Travis Davis and have shared our conversation below.
Travis , appreciate you joining us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
Most fitness professionals focus only on “Bigger, Faster, Stronger.” After several years in the industry of sport performance and physique training it was apparent that there was a market that was being overlooked.
The ordinary person, with ordinary health complications.
So, I decided to take a holistic approach to training where I could better serve the greater community and work with people on all facets of their journey. This is mostly due to the fact that the majority of things hindering people’s lives are complications which take place outside the gym.
The TD Wellness Model takes a comprehensive approach and investigates the lives of each individual and disentigrates the root problem causing the symptoms harming the individuals behavior patterns and lifestyle.

Travis , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I was a first generation college student from an unhealthy family. I made it my life’s mission to become educated and work toward a stable and healthy lifestyle that could pour over into helping others.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Once business began to take off and I had a full roster of client’s and quality referrals I began to over work in order to meet the demands of clients and business.
I had to develop new systems and hire a business coach to help me sort out the finer details of growth and expansion.
This allowed my to focus back on executing proficiently my 40-hour work week and become more intentional with my time and less exhausted overall.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
My audience is low, but my engagement rate is high. The majority of my initial business came from Instagram. If you focus on being authentic and communicate well with your audience the engagement rates will speak for themselves. This is an area where “less is more” sometimes. You don’t need to be the next influencer to succeed.
