Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Trauma Beatz. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Trauma, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
Immortal Men Clothing. Immortal Men Clothing is a clothing line that Kunal Khorana & I created with a authentic message. With this brand we’re bringing awareness to the fact that Hip Hop is in a sorry state greatly because a lot of the artists are dead or in jail. “Art Never Dies” is one of our brands slogans and we treat our merch like art. Delivering luxury designs and quality material.

Trauma, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Trauma Beatz from New Orleans, LA. I’m a music producer and social entrepreneur. I’ve been making music my whole life so getting into the music industry was always a dream of mine. Making it a reality was and still is a long journey. I pride myself on treating every artist that I work with like a potential superstar. My company All For The Culture aims to be a once stop shot for a music artist of any genre. As an artist, I’ve seen the disparity between larger labels and artists and I want to use my platform to help the up and coming creative community. To that end we also offer business advice for other services catered to protecting client needs and assets. I’m proud that my company has been able to bridge the gap between music and fashion in a major way through our now sold out AFTC merchandise and our recently released premium streetwear line up, Immortal Men. I’m proud to announce our first ever pop up shop at Houston’s largest independent clothing store “Houston Closet” on December 2nd.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
My pivot came when I started working on AFTC and I had to accomplish diverse dreams. From being just a producer and an engineer I learned how to shoot and edit videos and photos and learn the fundamentals of visual effects. The larger shift was when my mentor and best friend passed away last month and I inherited our premium apparel company, Immortal Men, I suddenly had to learn and focus on how to run and grow a business in the fashion industry which was (and kind of still is haha) completely new to me.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect for me is the recognition and admiration I get from my fellow musicians, engineers and creatives. As a creative you get ideas all day long but always wonder are actually good ideas and would others agree. The acknowledgement I get for my work is the most rewarding.
