We caught up with the brilliant and insightful TrapXedo a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
TrapXedo, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you share an important lesson you learned in a prior job that’s helped you in your career afterwards?
What I learned from my prior position with my AT&T authorized retailer, Location Mobile 1 Solutions, was that your network defines your true net worth. I used my AT&T influence to navigate through the entertainment industry top elite to launch my artistry career and my record label RBF LLC.

TrapXedo, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Trap: the word is a symbolization of the urban community within the inner-city’s of America
Xedo: is short for tuxedo.
TrapXedo is the elegant aspect of the inner cities and urban communities of America.
My people need TrapXedo. America needs TrapXedo!
For those who may not know me, I go by TrapXedo. I am a serial entrepreneur, father, Man of God, leader, motivational speaker, a executive producer, songwriter and musician.
My vision as a CEO and musician, started back as a child of 15 when I realized the type of influence music had on our culture. My dream has always been to impact people lives through music, and to save people lives with a great message; which is self empowerment, spiritual connection and enlightenment of being the best version of yourself.
My dream has always been to leave a legacy behind and create something for my culture much greater than myself. Something that will continue to grow and live strong when I’m no longer around.
I’ve been here in Atlanta for two years now. I’ve made great strides to be in big rooms, at important round tables with entrepreneurs and musical legends, that I admire. I am very excited to see what the future holds for me as an entrepreneur, as well as an artist.
Music has a way of impacting and changing the way people move, thing, talk and act and the Trapxedo concept can influence our culture to be the best version of itself as possible through intellectual and positive outlook on life, being great fathers and mothers, applying spiritual connection to our day-to-day lives
The only way we can change our culture’s future is one day at a time one dream at a time and one song at a time.
Black America has $1.8 trillion in spending power. We as a people need to focus our dollars into empowering and strengthening our cultures for generations to come.

Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
Absolutely! 33 strategies of war by Robert Green, The Perfect Time To Boss Up by Rick Ross,
Compound Effect by Darren Hardy
A Promise Land by Barack Obama
All of these books, here have played a pivotal role in my tutelage in becoming the best version of myself and entrepreneurship, as well as artistry.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Yes, my mission is to impact people lives in a positive way. For those that are incarcerated, come home and stay home. To those that actually are in position to change lives and offer amazing things to the world I want to Motivate them to keep going and move smart stay true to yourself and who you are.
You can’t control where you come from and that it’s OK. Being born in property, growing up in black America it’s OK. Don’t let it define you change the narrative.
We can change the landscape of black America one family at a time. It starts with the future, which is our youth.
