Our mission is to provide our communities with a local source to clean organic foods of the freshest quality with the highest concentration of overall nutritional value. As well as, educating those unaware of the power of microgreens and the immense health benefits they offer. We provide facts and statistics to our curious clientele about the questionable practices of the Agricultural industry and its food supply chain. With a decade of professional cooking experience and the understanding of how our agriculture and distribution systems work. Seeing this first hand has given myself insight on the food world many do not have to privilege to fully comprehend. The nations food system is broken when it comes to overall quality for nutrition and health benefits. Big agriculture seems mostly invested in preservation and visual appeal. To grow food in this mindset, the USDA controls the majority of agriculture supply and uses extremely harmful chemicals to keep pests away from the growing products. Insecticides, pesticides, herbicides, and glyphosates, are the leading cause to what has plagued our nations people with and endless list of illness and disease, including cancer.
It is our mission to provide our communities with fresh, clean, and health conscious foods that are extremely dense in nutritional value. With this idea in mind, we began to sow the seeds of clean and healthy eating within weeks to follow as K&T Microgreens quickly sprouted and began it’s journey of growth with this as our sole mission and purpose. The food world is complex and has many variables that keep continuously changing by season. One thing I learned in this regard is the difference between locally grown products, and corporate agriculture. The difference is indisputable when it comes to taste, nutrition, and quality. It was our goal to inform and provide our communities the products and resources for quality food. This isnt just a limited to your own garden or markets in the spring and summer seasons. This is the time when majority of our food supply is grown in most large agricultural regions. One of the best qualitys microgreens posses is the ability to grow extremely well indoors. Microgreens take up a minimal amount of space so growing a tray or two for your family and friends is managable in variety of ways in even the smallest of spaces. How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Building a reputation was something we did struggle with in the beginning. Just like all things that take time, building our reputation was something that came as we progressed our business. With our overall customer service and consistency in product quality, gaining a reputation and following came shortly after a few times being present in our community markets.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Social media can be tough to breach into and actually make yourself known in the endless digital sea of information. My best advice for this is to be consistent and continually create new posts that showcase the business and products that we offer. Having friends share your page and just sharing it to those like minded individuals who can appreciate and spread the word of what you may offer over your competition. Even if you have no viewers, eventually you will be discovered, it just takes time and effort so don’t hold back and never quit being proud and boasting your business and products.
