We recently connected with Tracy Randolph and have shared our conversation below.
Tracy , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?
My mother ensured that GOD was the head of my life and involved in any decisions I made since a little kid. She would always say” Without GOD, you have nothing” My mother was not always on the front row in church every sunday but she was a heavy believer in GOD and knew the bible well. I thank my mother for instilling morals and values in me as a little kid. When conducting my business, I know she is right by my self heering me on.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

For those that dont know my story, my business started from a conversation with my cousin Renita. I was renting the marquee numbers for family events and thought why not invested in marquees for business. I located a craftsmen and the rest is history.

We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.
My business partner is my fiancé, Douglas Thomas, We met in 1996, life seperated us and we reconnected in 2016. We will be getting married September 2024.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
I had to learn not all business is good business and when starting a business it is important to purchase what will be booked not what everyone is buying so know your niche and targerted market. I also had to realize that where you are in your business journey maybe different from others so dont beat yourself up when it comes to pricing, customers, marketing and etc. Your time will come and your name will eventually be in rooms you are not in.
