We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tracy Jones. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tracy below.
Tracy, appreciate you joining us today. Can you share a story about the kindest thing someone has done for you and why it mattered so much or was so meaningful to you?
I had a client that was moving from another country looking for the best education for his children. He had a small amount of cash to spend. He asked for me to find him a house in the school district where I send my own child with a budget of the cash he had on hand. I was able to find a foreclosure that needed very little work. From then on he would send me copies of his children’s report cards and invite me to birthday parties and family events. We are still friends to this day.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I was married and in a domestic violence situation. I was working for my husbands family business and driving a car in his name and living in a home solely in his name. I was completely under his control. One day while working in his family business a supply rep told me about a real estate class starting soon in my town. My husband allowed me to register. Once I passed I became successful very quickly. Real estate is a job where you are never doing the same thing or in the same place so I gained quite a bit of freedom. With my success I was able to save enough to buy my own place and safely get my freedom back. With my past I thoroughly enjoy helping other women in the same situations. I have even assisted other victims of domestic violence earn their real estate licenses.
I am most proud of earning my Lifetime Achievement Award before my 30th Birthday. Most recipients are in their 50’s and 60’s. I also earned the Best of Instagram at an industry convention with thousands in attendance.
I love learning keeping up with all the newest and best technologies to best serve my clients.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
I relocated to Florida from the Midwest several years ago. The best source of referrals are my contacts in Indiana/Michigan/Illinois. When people are looking for a vacation home they send their friends and family my way.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for my business has been social media. I started with Facebook in the 2000’s then have since added Instagram, Youtube, Twitter, and Linkedin. Your presence can grow fast and ads are inexpensive to reach your targeted audience.
