We recently connected with Tracion Griffith and have shared our conversation below.
Tracion, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s kick things off with a hypothetical question – if it were up to you, what would you change about the school or education system to better prepare students for a more fulfilling life and career?
Financial Literacy. I’d definitely start introducing that to students at an early age so they’d understand things such as compound interest, and how it can help their money grow and grow over time from an early age. They need to understand real world situations and get prepared for paying bills and being responsible and disciplined.
 
 
 
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am a photographer/videographer and I focus mainly on business shoots and weddings at the moment. I am aiming to be able to provide small businesses with “Commercial-Style Marketing” at a smaller level. There’s no reason why a small makeup company shouldn’t have a commercial like Maybelline for their website/social media. I put my all in every project I start on and I won’t stop until my clients have had their needs met. The thing I am most proud of is being able to go full-time in working for myself. It was a goal of mine and I am honestly blessed to have achieved it. I want to thank every client that has booked with me so far because I definitely wouldn’t have been able to do it without them.
How did you build your audience on social media?
I built my audience by staying consistent and making my posts neatly. (A handful of celebrities also boosted my retention a bit LOL) My advice to those just starting to build a presence is stay consistent and post things you like. It’ll make it easier to post and the genuineness will be felt.
 
 
 
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele is positivity and discounts. When meeting a new potential client I make them feel reassured in my skills and ability and I want them to see my drive and that I will give them what it is they’re looking for. I am also not afraid to give discounts to new clients to reel them in. Once they receive my work I know they’ll be coming back for life.
