We recently connected with Traci Moore and have shared our conversation below.
Traci, appreciate you joining us today. Coming up with the idea is so exciting, but then comes the hard part – executing. Too often the media ignores the execution part and goes from idea to success, skipping over the nitty, gritty details of executing in the early days. We think that’s a disservice both to the entrepreneurs who built something amazing as well as the public who isn’t getting a realistic picture of what it takes to succeed. So, we’d really appreciate if you could open up about your execution story – how did you go from idea to execution?
Executing ideas has always been one of my strengths. I’m a visual thinker, and the process of going from concept to reality starts with getting everything down on paper. I outline the steps, sketch out the vision, and start breaking the big picture into manageable pieces. That’s exactly how the Southern Pleasure Expo came to life.
It started with an idea Freddy Hydro had been nurturing: to create the largest adult retail expo in Texas since 2015. Freddy held meeting after meeting with what he calls “The Collective,” generating excitement and positive energy around the concept. But after a while, it became clear that while the vision was solid, the execution wasn’t gaining traction. That’s when I decided to step in. I wasn’t just going to assist; I was determined to deliver this baby.
The next phase was all about problem-solving. I asked myself, “What do we need to make this real?” A venue, of course, came first. We needed a space big enough to house the exhibits, performances, classes, and the number of attendees we hoped to attract. We viewed several venues, and with the date set in stone, The Renaissance Hotel Dallas in Richardson, Texas, became the location.
Next came sourcing an audio and visual company capable of making every presentation and performance, a seamless experience. Then we needed sponsors, partners who believed in our vision and would invest in helping us bring it to life. Tied Up Management became one of those key sponsors, contributing not just financially but also through creative ideas like branded giveaways and the VIP Lounge.
Talent was another critical piece. From performers like Sir Leezus, one of Kinky Hut’s brand ambassadors, who would teach and demonstrate live, to content creators who could showcase their work, we sought out individuals whose energy and expertise would set the tone for the expo. At the same time, we worked on attracting attendees, crafting packages like the Couples Vacation Package that bundled accommodations, VIP access, and exclusive perks to make the event irresistible.
It wasn’t easy. There were countless long nights, endless cross-country networking, sleeping in the van, and moments where it felt like we were biting off more than we could chew but we kept chewing. Each challenge became an opportunity to grow while learning each other’s style and way of doing business. Designing graphics and Freddy’s marketing expertise was thrilling because we could see our vision resonate. Watching people invest in exhibitor booths, couples’ packages, VIP tickets, and general admission to something we created from scratch was humbling and rewarding.
The experience taught me that having an idea is one thing but making it real is entirely different. The difference lies in the willingness to put in the work. For me, it’s that journey from the spark of an idea to a tangible event that keeps me inspired. Seeing something I’ve sketched come to life is a thrill I will never get tired of.

Traci, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m Traci Moore, a creative entrepreneur with a passion for curating unique and unforgettable experiences across multiple industries. My journey into my fields of expertise has been fueled by a love for innovation, individuality, and pushing boundaries. From creating an immersive adult retail expo to booking talent and designing luxury custom products, my work reflects a commitment to artistry, empowerment, and connection.
I got into these industries by following my curiosity and desire to fill gaps in the market. For example, with the Southern Pleasure Adult Retail Expo, I envisioned an inclusive, sophisticated space where education, empowerment, and entertainment converge. This event brings together exhibitors, performers, educators, and attendees for a three-day experience celebrating retail, pleasure, wellness, and creativity. Similarly, my other ventures, booking kink talent through Tied Up Management, crafting elegant bunny masks with Lapin Couture, or curating dining experiences with The Dinner Clique, all stem from identifying ways to elevate everyday experiences into something extraordinary.
I provide a wide range of services and creative works tailored to distinct audiences. Through Southern Pleasure Expo, the challenge of demystifying intimacy and creating spaces where people can explore new products and learn without judgment is solved. My custom bunny masks bring sophistication and artistry to the world of costume and kink, while my dining experiences with The Dinner Clique combine culinary creativity with meaningful social connections. For those interested in more intimate moments, my upcoming content creator platform, Voyeur Effect, promises an innovative POV take on BDSM and kink-themed events.
What sets me apart is my commitment to quality and my ability to merge creativity with practicality. Whether it’s designing memorable events, developing products, or booking kink talent, my approach is always rooted in attention to detail and a deep respect for individuality. I also pride myself on breaking taboos and creating spaces where people feel seen, valued, and inspired to explore new possibilities.
I’m most proud of my ability to bring diverse visions to life while staying true to my core values. Whether it’s hosting a focus group for a new drinking card game, organizing a body art paint party, or leading a street team for Lapin Couture, I love taking an idea and transforming it into something tangible and impactful.
For anyone who’s curious about my work or brands, I’d like them to know that everything I do is about creating experiences that resonate, excite, and empower. My projects may span different industries, but they all share a common thread; a passion for connection, creativity, and community. If you’re attending an event, donning one of my creations, or engaging with my content, you can always expect something fresh, thoughtful, and unforgettable.

We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.
I actually met Freddy Hydro, the owner of KinkyHut.com, in his DMs! I was interested in attending one of his events and had a few questions. Instead of just answering, he turned the tables and hired me as the chef for his event, The Craving. From that moment, we immediately connected, and our synergy was undeniable. We’ve been inseparable ever since, building and collaborating in ways that feel both natural and impactful

Any advice for managing a team?
Managing a team and maintaining high morale requires a careful balance of effective delegation, support, and encouragement. After going through the process with the Southern Pleasure Expo, one key approach I learned was to assign tasks that align with each team member’s strongest skillset. When individuals work in areas where they excel, they feel confident, perform better, and develop a sense of accomplishment and value within the team. Equally important is avoiding overloading individuals, even if they possess the skills to handle multiple tasks. Evenly distributing tasks prevents a situation where an individual becomes overwhelmed.
Providing the necessary knowledge, systems, and tools is a critical aspect of effective team management. Equipping team members with training and clear processes allows them to perform their tasks efficiently, with out frustration. Additionally, offering reassurance and support plays a vital role in maintaining morale.
