We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Traci Falcon. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Traci below.
Hi Traci, thanks for joining us today. Has your work ever been misunderstood or mischaracterized?
I began my company as a Special Effects Artist. I began in an attempt to bring the things I viewed as beautiful or intimidating into a reality where it could be just as stunning as I imagined.
I have always been judged prior to obtaining knowledge of my personality. With that in my head piece I struck to just be the very best weirdo I felt comfortable with. I allowed my own creativity to fly and have since enjoyed expressing myself to my daily fullest.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I began actually when a client hit me up about covering and obtaining a cover photo for their gospel CD.
Then from there I have photographed and covered people from big names to local. I have worked with artists or all types and in all fields. I adore the daily motivation of not knowing what may happen (:
I have been proud of myself recently for remaining confident.
Confident in the journey. Confident in the art. Confident in myself.
Prior to running my business I felt as if I lived life timidly. I would second guess decisions…when I had no business doing so…
Never doubt yourself.
Never doubt that fire in your soul.
Go forward. Keep going. Then KEEP GOING. you are your own worst enemy, prove to yourself what you are capable of. 🌟
What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
Support. Show freaking support. If you enjoy a piece of art and it’s 35$? Pay the 35$.
Most creatives undersell themselves due to trying to live.
We look forward to clients and returning ones. A community can thrive and grow with so much compassion if others would just show support.
We are all in this together. We are all one. Let’s life each other up and watch the progress grow!
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
My personal favorite is to finally witness months.. sometimes years of planning… working out.
I plan events and festivals as well.
To put work in for 8+months for a weekend long festival…gets hectic….yet to be in the middle of it and see the full faced smiles, hugs of strangers, true co habitation and love. It’s a thing to admire. It’s a feeling of fulfillment I hope everyone obtains once.
To watch what you created be enjoyed and cherished by those around you. Makes everything worth it. True human connection.
It’s phenomenal.
