We were lucky to catch up with TR3VON recently and have shared our conversation below.
TR3VON, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
I don’t believe I’ve released my most meaningful project because all of my stuff I hold near and dear to heart. My newest EP project “Phoenix” releasing in May 2025 is my re-emerging project after a long hiatus. Rising out of ashes and reappearing as a new being. This upcoming project is bold and and easy on the ears. You’ll walk away with a good understanding of where I was during the creation of this project.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Hey, thank you for asking — I appreciate the chance to share a bit about me. To be honest, this season of my life has been heavy. I recently lost my beautiful mother, on April 1, 2025. She was everything to me — my heart, my motivation, and truly the reason I push so hard in everything I do. Losing her has been incredibly hard, but it’s also reminded me of why I started this journey in the first place — to leave something meaningful behind, just like she did.
I’m TR3VON — a singer, songwriter, actor, and someone who’s deeply passionate about creating. Whether I’m in the studio recording, on stage with a live band, writing scripts, or working with young people in the community, my goal is to connect and inspire. I don’t just make music — I tell stories. Real ones. My songs speak to love, identity, heartbreak, healing, and that fire inside all of us that refuses to give up.
What sets me apart? I lead with heart. Everything I do is rooted in purpose. I care about the impact I make — not just with fans, but with students, with community programs, and with every person who sees themselves in what I create.
I’m most proud of being able to merge my passion for music and the arts with real-world impact. I’ve worked with youth, led creative programming, and used my platform to uplift voices that are often overlooked. I want people to know that when you support me, you’re not just supporting an artist — you’re supporting a movement, a message, and a mission.
My mom used to call me a star. And even though she’s no longer here physically, I carry her light with me in every lyric, every performance, and every step forward.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
One of the most defining moments in my journey — and a true test of my resilience — was the recent loss of my mother, She and it shook me to my core. My mom wasn’t just a parent; she was my biggest cheerleader, my safe space, and the one who always believed in me, even when I doubted myself.
I remember sitting in the studio just days after her passing, questioning if I even had the strength to keep going. But something in me said, “This is where you push through. This is where you honor her.” I turned my pain into purpose. I poured all of my emotions into my music — every lyric, every note became a tribute to her love, strength, and the values she instilled in me.
That season taught me resilience isn’t just about “being strong” — it’s about showing up, even when you’re hurting. It’s about letting your vulnerability become your superpower. I used the stage, the studio, and my work with youth and the community as my healing ground. And in doing so, I’ve grown — not just as an artist, but as a human.
Now, every time I perform or mentor, I carry my mother’s spirit with me. I remind others (and myself) that even in loss, we can rise. That’s resilience to me — rising, again and again, with love leading the way.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
For me, the most rewarding part of being an artist is connection. It’s knowing that something I created from my own experiences — my joy, my pain, my truth — can reach someone else and make them feel seen. That’s powerful.
Whether it’s a fan telling me a song helped them through a tough time, or a young person I’m mentoring realizing their voice matters, those are the moments that fuel me. It’s not about fame or numbers — it’s about impact.
Being creative gives me freedom. It allows me to express the things I can’t always say out loud. It’s therapy. It’s healing. It’s storytelling. And when someone hears my music, or watches me perform, and says, “Yo, I felt that” — that’s everything. That’s why I do it.
I think the most beautiful part is how art builds bridges — across backgrounds, emotions, and generations. And I feel blessed to be able to use my gifts to not only entertain, but to inspire, uplift, and keep it real. That’s what makes it all worth it.
