Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tosha Daniels . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Tosha , thanks for joining us today. Was there a moment in your career that meaningfully altered your trajectory? If so, we’d love to hear the backstory.
I’ve been using exercise as a way to fuel good mental health and overall wellness of my spirit soul and body. After suffering with PPD after the birth of two children (9yrs apart) I noticed how I always felt better and more in tune after I worked out. I felt lighter, confident, productive, strong and capable! My fitness journey saved my life and it has also giving me the opportunity to help other women! I truly love being an advocate for better health!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My name is Tosha, often known as Mama Tosha. I am a mother of two, fitness coach and a lover of all things health related!
Suffering with digestive issues very young, I learned to cure my body by changing my diet. I’ve always been curios and conscious of how I fuel my body. I suffered with PPD after the birth of my first born and began to workout to get back to myself. The time and energy spent pouring into my fitness journey is where I found my love for physical activity.
Sharing my journey online unintentionally grew me a following of supporters. I started my athletic apparel brand Liber8d. Liber8d gave me the opportunity to provide women with high quality gear to make those trips to the gym a little more exciting! From there I was encouraged to begin coaching and accepting clients. I took the push and went with it and here I am with my own Women Only Studio.
Since 2019 I have been able to do what I love and watch it open many doors for me. Helping and motivating women to take better care of themselves by making daily deposits into their health, build confidence, discipline, community and accountability has been amazing. Watching Liber8d grow has been so rewarding and I am excited to see what else grows from it.
I offer group and one on one training services. Specializing in body recomposition. Using a mixture of Cardio, HIIT, Strenght and Stability Training to help shrink and build in the areas we want.
I provide my clients with the trust of knowing they’re in good hands with me. I try to always provide a friendly and welcoming space for all. Each person is seen and heard. Exercises though similar but not the same for all, modifications and adjustments are made personalized for each client. I offer meal and supplement suggestions as well as virtual training for out of town clients.
I think what sets me apart is the way Ive designed my program. As a woman, I know what woman want. Having a women only studio is also a plus. Many women suffer with “gymtimidation” or shyness in regular gyms. At my fitness studio, it’s just us. Real women, cheering each other on. A safe space to be vulnerable and get loved on after a tough workout!
I’m most proud of my dedication to consistently pouring into myself and others. Having the courage to go for more and love how I truly want to. Following my own path and leaning into my destiny. I am able to meet and connect with so many other woman who I can share my store with and encourage them to do the same as well. Being committed to being a better person started with my being committed to having a better relationship with fitness. That spilled over into so many other areas of my life, I want others to witness what living an intentional life can do for them as well.
Liber8d is a brand promoting all things wellness. Mentally, Physically, Spiritually and Financially. It all goes hand in hand. I love women and I want us to learn to love ourselves more, by taking care of our bodies. The first and last home you’ll have! Be good to it!
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I have had to be resilient in business a lot. Without resiliency, you won’t last long.
If had curveballs with finding vendors form my clothing brand. Bad batches of clothes arriving, delayed shipments, poor communication, poor execution, money lost, you name it.
Clientle for business has its ups and Dow due to the economy. Covid, ressesion etc can make being an entrepreneur very hard. They’re are good months and slow months. Things happen and you have to learn to adjust and make the best of what you have. Over all you have to keep going. That’s the key, keep your head down and keep working.
Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
I think customer services and knowing how to relate to your clients is a big plus! Making ppl feel comfortable and showing that you are trustworthy is a big help. The overall atmosphere must be a good feeling. To me that’s what makes your customers come back. How you make them feel on top of providing excellent services!
