We recently connected with Tory and Teri Smith I Forever Will and have shared our conversation below.

Tory and Teri Smith, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We love heartwarming stories – do you have a heartwarming story from your career to share?

Yes!! We met and Married in 30 days!! We were on opposite sides of the country (east coast/west coast).

We met on Facebook, we shared a mutual friend. That was the beginning of a Romance that CHANGED our lives Forever.

It was your dreamy, “guy meets girl” world-wind romance, love, story. It was deeper than ‘Love at 1st Sight’. It was SPIRITUAL!!!

Tory and Teri Smith, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

We are The Smiths!! Our collective mission is to have an Intentional Marriage that serves GOD and People.

Together we have over 40+ years of marital experience along with 6 children and 6 grandchildren. We are a loving, blessed, blended Family.

To expound on the Intentional aspect. We believe that a couple’s Marriage is much bigger than their relationship..

It’s about the Purpose that you share in Agreement, commitment and dedication. Couples who strive together toward a goal have outstanding odds of making it!

Originally, we planned to serve in a Church as Marriage/Relationship Leaders. Unbeknownst to us, we believed it would take us some time to achieve our goal.

Once Married we relocated and chose a Church Home to settle. We were graciously received and we began our Ministry mission.

Well needless to say, it was a success and became the largest Ministry in the Church.

We enjoyed the work of educating and helping couples thrive toward a healthy mindset that benefited not just them but also, their overall Faith, mental health and relationship.

This led to us furthering our education and becoming Nationally Board Certified. In addition, we were Ordained as Ministers.

Shortly after the word about the ministry spread we were approached to host our first radio show! The excitement and opportunities began to ignite as we were once again invited to host our own television show.

We had launched our private practice simultaneously after Graduating and receiving our Certifications & Psychology degrees.

This allowed us to explore and expand our methodologies in assisting not just couples but individuals and families. We also provided pre-marital counseling to couples who after bonding with us and completing our course granted us the Honor of officiating their Wedding Ceremonies.

Our bond with our couples is exceptional as we vow to be available to them forevermore which is how we arrived at the name of our Private Practice, “I Forever Will”!!

We believe that our dedicated mission to assist Couples to ‘WIN as ONE’ has been the true blessing and formula for our successful service..

We are grateful and so very proud of our clients as they press forward through challenges and ‘grow’ beyond their expectations. To see them succeed and focus on ‘the challenge’ without attacking their partner is the Victory and breakthrough that is rewarding to us, All.

We believe that couples must make a conscious decision to fight to Win. Our approach of a ‘Team’ perspective toward counseling improves the overall resolution and renews the Honor and Integrity of the Legacy they desire to see.

We absolutely Love the Work and the absolute best silver lining is, it strengthens Our Marriage simultaneously while speaking Joy and Healing into other’s…

Putting training and knowledge aside, what else do you think really matters in terms of succeeding in your field?

I believe it is our life’s experience that brings the most to our clients. We sincerely, led with a pure, transparent heart when meeting and marrying one another.
This was the key to forming trust to leap into the arms of GOD with our desires for a harmonious life together.

We share the same sentiments with our clients as we are human and face challenges just the same. We, just like our clients, want to make our marriage work.

It’s the Willingness to come into Agreement when solving deeper issues together, that will help support our understanding of our partner, This empowers us to achieve the overall goals that will help us go the distance.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

Yes!! We both chose to relocate and begin a New Life together. That required a change in our perspectives coupled with courage and a Boosting of our Faith to trust that what we were being ‘Called’ to do was in alignment with our shared, values and destiny.
