Hi Torrion, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
As the need for sustainable practices grow around the world, my main goal is to display refreshing designs using upcycled denim. I want to translate avant garde, couture design language to streetwear creating unique silhouettes with innovative engineering.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I started customizing my friends/ classmates jeans in highschool in 2017 and progressed my brand every year after that. Fast forward 2022, i now offer commission based orders regarding any item or garment a client can think of. What sets me apart from others is my design process and my ability to pay attention to detail. It comes naturally i dont have to force it or spend hours brainstorming and i often dont even sketch my designs out before hand unless i want to add structure to the process of the project.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being a creator is seeing the product and the positive feedback you could get validates it knowing you spent hours on the project to get the results you aimed for.
Have you ever had to pivot?
When I moved back to Savannah from SC I had to pivot my brand 3:11 to focus more on E-commerce in order reach a more global audience opposed to the local audience I had already conquered. It was hard at first but it paid off in the end and I learned alot.
