We recently connected with Torri Nicole and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Torri, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.

Torri’s Sweets came about because of my love for caramel frappes. It was one random day in January 2022, where I had this strong craving for a caramel frappe, so I was like “i’m pretty sure i can make this myself” and so I did. I posted it on my instagram story and a classmate slid up on my story and said “if you start selling these for real I would buy one.” February 26,2023 Torri’s Sweets was born.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Like I said before this was never really something I thought would happen but by the grace of god it did. I really became known for my drinks and treats I would drive up to my high school and do deliveries and in the summer time I would still sell. What i’m most proud of about this brand was that it was just a figment of my imagination and it turned into a reality. Nobody I knew was doing this, of course people were selling brownies and other things like that but I sold frappes and frappes that were good. My best seller is Caramel Brownie mix, which is a mocha & caramel frappe with brownie chunks in it. 10/10 would recommend. My brand has recently relaunched back in May and it’s just me finding my love for baking all over against. I added “candied grapes” which have been a fan favorite. Business was a little slow this past summer but it never stopped me from promoting my business and selling every weekend. So I just want people to know just because things are going as plan still stick it through because god will always come through for those who have faith.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

The way I built an audience on social media was by using my main instagram page and tag my business page. I already had a following and then at this time I was still in high school so I was in close proximity to everyone and I could come to you as well. Advice for those just starting a business is to POST on social media. Nobody will know you have a business if you don’t talk about it.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

I am the only person in my area doing what I do. Others may sell similar things but honestly it’s just me being me & doing things that I love and nobody can take that from me.
