Today we’d like to introduce you to Torie Sannners.
Hi Torie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My affinity for all things beauty started when I was a little girl in Henderson, Kentucky. My mom allowed the space for me to be creative with my hair and nails, but I had to sneak to play in her makeup. As I’ve gotten older, my friends allowed me the same space to do their hair and makeup. I really, really wanted to do YouTube and just showcase my makeup skills. I finally grew the courage in 2021 and it’s been going on ever since.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not. The road has been rocky for sure. When I started with content creating, I was on a spiritual journey trying to find myself. Definitely a lot of highs and lows. And when I was low, I had no motivation to keep going. That’s where I’m at currently, is persevering in spite of.
With life you never know what type of hand you’re going to get dealt. I mean it’s all about rolling with the punches. Overall, it has been a wonderful experience.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am Torie Nicole, Beauty/Lifestyle Content Creator. I don’t know if I have a specialty but me being authentically me and showing my true self in all of my content is something that I “specialize in”. I would like to think that my content is relatable and that’s what I’m known for.
The thing I’m most proud of is that when I think my content isn’t getting noticed until a brand notices me, especially when Kroger asked me to be apart of their Black History Month content back in 2022. That showed me that other people see my content. It was so eye opening and a for sure confident booster for me.
Everyone wasn’t created to be the same, so that’s what sets me apart from others. Every time I’m creating content, I am being authentically Torie Nicole. I’m not trying to emulate anyone else but show to you all parts of me.
How do you think about luck?
I wouldn’t call it luck but more so divine timing. Everything is placed to happen at a certain time and I have experienced both bad and good timing. It’s all about paying attention to the details and trusting your gut. Sometimes things can be too good to be true.
