My name is Tori Wells, I am the founder and CEO of Feline Apparel Brand, Inc. I have always had a passion for fashion and a deep understanding of how powerful clothing can make someone feel. I saw an opportunity to create a women’s athleisure wear brand that prioritized both fashion and comfort in addition to fitness all while vowing to dedicate myself to empowering women. That’s why I created Feline Apparel. We are practically redefining the athleisure industry for women.
My journey began in Nashville, TN where I spent my childhood fully immersed in the world of dance. From the tender age of three, I trained as a dancer, developing a keen eye for movement, grace, and the importance of feeling comfortable in one’s own body. Alongside my dedication to dance, I nurtured my creative spirit by sketching designs of clothes, envisioning a future where fashion and functionality could coexist harmoniously.
Driven by my childhood dreams and a burning desire to make a meaningful impact, I founded Feline Apparel Brand, Inc. Guided by my unwavering mission to empower women through comfortable luxury athletic wear, I set out to create a brand that celebrates the beauty and strength of every woman.
Staying true to my mission, I have not only crafted exceptional products but also fostered a remarkable community of women who are discovering new levels of confidence through Feline Apparel. I wanted to provide women with a platform to embrace their individuality and find empowerment in their active lifestyles.
I recognized a problem that many women face when it comes to finding athleisure wear that truly supports them no matter their size and enhances their confidence. Existing brands often fell short in either fashion or comfort, neglecting the holistic needs of women. That’s when I decided to bridge this gap and offer high-quality, fashionable athleisure wear that women could feel proud to wear, whether they were hitting the gym or running errands.
Through Feline Apparel, I have created more than just a clothing line. Building this brand has indeed been a challenging yet rewarding experience. From the beginning, I knew that creating a women’s athleisure wear brand would not be easy. But I was fueled by my passion and unwavering belief system.
Along the way, there were numerous obstacles and setbacks. I faced financial constraints, skeptical voices, and moments of self-doubt. I firmly believe that resilience is not just about bouncing back from challenges; it’s about tapping into an inner wellspring of strength and embracing the lessons and growth that adversity brings. My faith has been a constant source of inspiration, grounding me in times of uncertainty and reminding me of the bigger picture.
One significant test of my resilience came when I encountered rejection from several retailers. It was disheartening, to say the least. But I chose to see it as a temporary setback rather than a permanent defeat. I recalibrated my approach, sought alternative avenues, and continued to persevere. It was through this experience that I found that there were many more individuals who believed in the mission and values of Feline Apparel than those who didn’t.
Resilience isn’t just about bouncing back from adversity; it’s about the strength to keep pushing forward, even when the odds are against you. It’s about staying true to your purpose and holding onto your vision, despite the challenges that may arise. Through every setback, I dug deep, drew upon my faith, and found the strength to overcome.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
The COVID-19 pandemic posed immense challenges for businesses worldwide and most definitely presented unprecedented challenges for Feline Apparel. Our ability to pivot quickly and adapt has been instrumental in navigating these uncertain times.
When the pandemic hit and lockdown measures were implemented, our primary distribution channel was severely impacted. It became evident that we needed to explore new avenues to reach our customers and ensure their continued support and engagement.
We swiftly shifted our focus to strengthen our online presence. We revamped our website, enhanced our digital marketing strategies, and optimized our online shopping experience to provide convenience and accessibility to our customers who were confined to their homes.
In addition, we recognized the changing needs and preferences of our customers during this time. I adapted our product offerings and introduced versatile pieces that catered to this new lifestyle. I worked diligently to create athleisure wear that not only provided utmost comfort but also embodied fashion-forward designs. I wanted to offer our customers a sense of normalcy and confidence, even during challenging times.
While the pandemic forced us to pivot our business operations, it also presented us with an opportunity to innovate and explore new avenues. We were able to expand our customer base beyond local markets and reach women across the globe who resonated with our mission and values.
Adapting to the challenges of the pandemic has been a testament to Feline Apparel’s resilience and determination, which we talked about earlier. I’m committed to providing women with comfortable luxury athleisure wear, even in the face of adversity. And I will remain committed to our mission and will continue to evolve and adapt as we navigate the ever-changing business landscape.
