We were lucky to catch up with Topher Straus recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Topher, thanks for joining us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?

I’ve been an artist for over thirty years- but just started showing my work in public 3 years ago. It took a life-changing event and my son’s encouragement to open my heart to the world. It was a big risk for me but obviously has paid off.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

I wake up every day and create. There alot of parts to business of art but being creative it number one. So at five am i begin – i make sure to take breaks to get outside, give my mind and eyes a break. I am most proud that my work continues to develope and my brand grows.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

My mission is to create landscapes that get people excited to go outside – play and do what they can to help preserve our national parks and nature.

Can you share your view on NFTs? (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)

NFTs dont really appeal to me – I know they are the future but I like my art to be seen. Enjoyed in person on metal so have been reluctant to do anything in this space- but I sure get asked about them quite a bit.
