Tonya, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
You may have heard the quote, “we teach best what we most need to learn.” by Richard Bach? Even at an early age, I knew that I had fears and wounds that I wanted to heal.
Traditional counseling had certainly helped me clarify that which needed to be healed but it only brought me to a certain point in my healing. The next chapter of my journey in healing would require me to take a dive into the unknown.
At some point in this journey, I had to decide what I truly wanted in my life. I asked the universe to show me the way to my purpose. And it was as if the Universe responded with… “You really want to know what your purpose is?”
“Well, ok, but it’s going to get rough and I’m first gonna have to kick your butt in order for you to clear out some false beliefs you have about yourself.” Then the universe proceeded to kick my butt in various ways for the following six years. What was on the other side of that journey was liberation and the tools that teach me how to respond skillfully to what comes my way rather than react to what life throws at me through various spiritual practices and training. I would like others to experience this kind of freedom.
Reiki, which originated in Japan, is the undercurrent of my practice, however, I include other modules of healing depending on what each client requires in a session. I work with both animals and people. In this everchanging environment, that we live in these days, it is necessary more than ever to learn how to “go with the flow.”

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Richard Bach(Author of Illusions…The Adventure of the Reluctant Messiah) coined the phrase,” We teach best what we most need to learn.”
Finding Balance in ones life is a constant challenge for all of us, especially this day and age.
It has been a labor of love over that past 10 yrs, learning and then teaching the tools of finding that balance.
My Practice is not just for Animals but for their Owners as well.
This is what you can expect if you see me for your animal.
Your Session:
In our 1-hour session, your animal will receive:
15-30 minutes of Reiki
Duration depends upon how much energy the animal is willing to take in at that moment.
Location of Reiki session will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
A Client Agreement will be signed before we start.
The remainder of the time is spent:
Identifying the needs of your animal, what are the behavioral issues, if any; and what are the physical issues, if any.
Discussing energetic dynamic (how are you feeling and reacting around the animal) in the home.
Establishing a plan to find balance with the current situation.
Whether it is behavioral or physical issues, the frequency of sessions depends entirely on each animal’s needs.
No animals? No worries! Here is what you can expect from a session in person or remote.
Your Session:
In our 1-hour session, you will receive:
30-minutes of Reiki
A Client Agreement will be signed before starting.
The remainder of the session is spent:
Discussing what are your intentions of healing .
Understanding and identifying fears that may be blocking your progress.
Establishing what resources will be helpful for you to have as a reference in your work moving forward.

Learning how to “Go with the Flow” is one of the concepts I share with my clients.
There was never a better time than the Pandemic to put this concept into practice.
Like many, 2020 offered some interesting opportunities. My husband’s career in the Cruise Line
Industry was on hold, no income flowing in, and uncertainty of what would happen prompted me to ask the question…”What’s the next right move?’
And as always, the universe provided the answers to that question. Staying open to divine guidance means getting out of the way of what “you think” should happen and letting the pieces fall where they are meant to fall.
In short, a job manifested, my business picked up, and new amazing relationships were formed. I couldn’t have asked for more.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I work from the Heart…I don’t know how to work any other way.
My first and foremost interest is the client.
Not that long ago a colleague of mine asked me, “Tonya, are you a Reiki MASTER?”
And I responded with…”I’ve been through Master Level training, but lets be clear…I am a MASTER of nothing.”
In my practice, I am led by my clients and my intuition. I pay attention to what’s being said to know what direction to go in. Both animal and person dictate the direction of our sessions.
When it comes time to send Reiki Energy, it simply travels through me as I call in the Symbols. The
energy goes where it needs to go, and the outcome of how the energy works for each person or animal is completely unique to that client.
A few days after this question came up, I pondered how many people can be struck with the notion that by being labeled a “Master” is somehow making them more qualified or important in the healing realm.
This is simply not the case.
So much of my work is based on trusting that all will work out the way its meant to. What comes up for a client is there to be cleared and healed. It’s not always pleasant but necessary for the healing to occur.
I have been around many Spiritual Practitioners in the last years to know exactly what I don’t want to be.
So here is what I suggest to those who are looking for a practitioner…
Your body and heart always knows what it needs at the time.
