We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tony Stewart. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tony below.
Tony, appreciate you joining us today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
I’ve recently gotten to help create visuals & graphic designs for Alicia Keys & Ann Mincieli. I’ve done a couple things for them now but my favorite thing would have to be working on designs for the 20th anniversary of “Diary of Alicia Keys”. I can’t wait for that.
Tony, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’ve designed & produce music since I can remember. I’ve never approached it as a way of making a living but to really express myself in various ways. I was at Jungle City Studios once until 7am creating beats as well as helping create a vector for an NHL project I was also involved in. It’s just the way I work. Interchangeably.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
I’m trying to be apart of history. To create, influence, & ultimately be apart of something bigger than myself.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
Producing music has allowed me the opportunity to work for Alicia Keys at Oven Studios. However, my approach to visual & graphic design has also helped me stay afloat & be able to work for people like Odell Beckham Jr. & Kanye West so I’ll catch myself working on graphical stuff slightly more. I’ll apply what I learn working for various people into how I can further what it is I’m trying to do.
