We were lucky to catch up with Tony Shavers III recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Tony thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
Tony Shavers III Consulting was founded with a clear mission: to help people discover the confidence and direction they need to pursue their dreams. I had struggled for years to find my own path in life. I tried different jobs and careers, but nothing seemed to click. At times, I felt lost and directionless, unsure of what I really wanted out of life.
It wasn’t until I began to be vulnerable and honest with myself about what my values were that life began to open up. Through practicing the power of affirmations, journaling, and a range of self-discovery exercises, I was able to uncover my true passions and values. I gained the clarity and confidence I needed to pursue a career that aligned with my personal mission.
Inspired by my transformation, I founded Tony Shavers III Consulting to help others achieve the same sense of purpose and direction in their own lives. Through my 1:1 coaching services, we work with clients to uncover their unique strengths and passions and help them create a plan to achieve their goals.
But I didn’t stop there. I also developed a range of self-discovery products, including gratitude journals, a #1 bestselling self-improvement book, and affirmation cards for self-exploration. These tools are designed to help people connect with their inner selves, cultivate a positive mindset, and take actionable steps towards their dreams.
For me, my mission is deeply personal. I know what it’s like to feel lost and uncertain about our direction in life. But I also know how transformative it can be to discover your true passions and purpose. That’s why I’ve dedicated myself to helping others do the same, one coaching session or product at a time. Seeing my clients achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives is the greatest reward I could ask for.
Tony , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I started writing poetry in the fourth grade. My first poem was about farm animals and global warming. I’m not sure why that was so important to me but what was starting to happen at that time for a powerful love for creative writing. By the time I got to the 8th grade, I began to take my craft more seriously with writing poetry that spoke about social issues in America. It was clear that this was a special gift that was going to take me far.
At a young age, I discovered a gift for making a difference in people’s lives as a voice for those who felt silenced. I found power in words and actions and knew I needed to share it with the world.
In so many ways, my life has been this journey of self-discovery, which I believe sets me apart from others. In many ways, I practice what I preach.
In 2018, I self-published my now Amazon Bestselling Book: Is Your Dream Really Worth It? Discover Your Passion, Purpose, and Plan. This 84-page interactive book takes readers on a journey of looking introspective to ask themselves the uncomfortable but necessary questions to help them make the pivot in their lives. Not only has this book impacted the lives of thousands, but it has also served as a foundation for me throughout. my own entrepreneurial journey.
If I had to think about one thing I want people to know about me, my brand, and my work, I would phrase it by saying: “You have a gift that others are waiting to hear. Find it. Define it. Understand it.” I truly believe in the depth of my soul that each and every one of us has a unique story and by us sharing that, we heal the world one person at a time.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
There is something quite powerful about referrals, and honestly, that’s how 99% of my business has grown over the years. I pride myself on providing prompt customer service to all my clients who decide to work with me. They love it so much that they refer me to their friends and family.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
This is something that I take very seriously! In fact the way in which I’ve done this has significantly grown over the years.
I now send birthday and holiday cards, and now implemented a bonus referral program where clients get paid for referring me to their network once clients sign the agreement with Tony Shavers III consulting.
It’s something that I will continue doing to foster deeper client relationships and brand loyalty.
