Today we’d like to introduce you to Tony Khawam.
Hi Tony, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Khawam Gallery specializes in post-war, contemporary European, American, Latin American, and Middle Eastern art established in 2017 in West Palm Beach, Florida, and opened a new location in 2024 in East Hanover, New Jersey. In addition to original artworks, we offer limited editions, custom frames and we present the artwork of Kahlil Gibran. the famous Lebanese American poet, novelist and artist. The gallery is led by director Mirna Asmar and artist, curator Tony Khawam.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
All new businesses encounter challenges, we overcome some of the challenges by implementing our vision and mission which is dedicated to nurturing new art to engage and connect our diverse communities and collectors through dynamic exhibits with stimulating specialty programs and inspired interactive events to ignite cultural enrichment, while diversifying our roster beyond the typical gallery profile and broadening our community outreach.

The Gallery offers a complete range of services to both the lifelong collector and the first-time buyer, including in-home curatorial services, personal collection development and curating, on-site consultation, international sourcing, and worldwide shipping.
In addition to an ambitious exhibitions and art fair program, the gallery has launched a series of collaborative partnerships with nonprofit arts institutions and Universities Museums. Our calendar’s scope has expanded to include panel discussions, performances, and cultural events.
For over 10 years we have provided advice to private collectors, wealth managers, corporate collections and museums while fostering the careers of some of the most talented artists working today. We work with collectors, interior designers, developers, hoteliers, and educational organizations.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Artists and gallerists should be sincere and original about their work and offering. We are surrounded by loving community which adds strength and credibility to the gallery, My advise is to engage the community as much as possible in programs that connect diverse communities together. The only way to differentiate our gallery and artists from others in the industry is by presenting emerging and established artists who work in a range of media. Inspired by an earnest dedication and passion for art with mark making style and storytelling approach to find expressionist artistic voice.
