Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Toni Vanschoyck. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Toni, appreciate you joining us today. Folks often look at a successful business and imagine it was an overnight success, but from what we’ve seen this is often far from the truth. We’d love to hear your scaling up story – walk us through how you grew over time – what were some of the big things you had to do to grow and what was that scaling up journey like?
Anything that you scale takes grit, determination and unwavering faith and focus. It started with one person that believed in the concept and that is what started the ball rolling. The strategies we learned as we went because I had never built a business that large that quickly before BUT it took 5 failures to get here. I was a professional failer.
When I said we will be a million dollar company/team with in 6 months EVERYONE said well thats an awful big goal (meaning no way) and we hit that in 5. It was sheer determination. Our huge obstacle with the fast growth. None of us knew how to deal with that. Some people slipped through the cracks. Some great advice from Rita Davenport was, you can’t worry about that, those that want to be here will.
I had a big target on my back with the success and the gossip and lies were hurtful and really hard to deal with but taught me great lessons and gave me more courage. I retired/repurposed my spouse in 8 months, It has been 10 years and 4 billion dollars in hair care.

Toni, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am a mom of 5. I had such a desire to stay home with my children that I did network marketing terribly for the first 5 years. But it allowed me to be home with them and put food on the table. I have always been a green and clean mom way before it was cool. That is what led me to the company I launched 10 years ago and we re still exclusively in the hair care space which is also a clean beauty line.
I get to recommend clean hair products with efficacy and we have products that solves any and all hair challenges. What sets us apart is that we guarantee it works (or your money back) and it is our customer service that is #1. We work hard but also very very smart, as we built our software platform for automation for our partners. More time and money.
We have also built the most amazing, inclusive culture. The one thing I am most proud of are the relationships we have built. These are “framily” (friends that become family).
The great thing about partnering with me I lock arms with our partners and customers and they feel extra valued.

Any advice for managing a team?
This is my speciality, because I love working with people. I love when people finally get that light bulb moment and then nothing can stop them. RECOGNITION…that is the key to maintaining high morale. Even the smallest of celebrations. A new customer, a new conversation, meeting someone new…you just never know who could be the magic one. Making sure each person knows how special they are and that they have room at this table.
A leader of course as you know leads by example. Positivity is key. But also leaders address challenges and have several solutions prepared to go and as an expert I can see challenges coming so I can prepare and help our team.
We also have a space where we can communicate openly.
We also have regular group coaching calls. We discuss best practices, shout out our wins and ask for help.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
You go above and beyond and deliver massive value. And #1 do as you say and say as you do. It is quite simple but everyone tries to complicate it.
